ADJUSTABLE WRENCH USING COLORS FOR IDENTIFICATION
An adjustable wrench uses colors for identification. The adjustable wrench includes a bit including multiple identification zones and a pointer in addition to a body and a movable jaw. The body includes a stationary jaw extending from a front end. The movable jaw is movably connected to the front end of the body so that a distance between the jaws is adjustable. The identification zones are formed on a side of the body. Each of the identification zones is in a color corresponding to a size of a workpiece. The pointer is formed on a side of the movable jaw. The distance between the jaws is set to be a value corresponding to the size of the workpiece when the pointer is aligned with one of the identification zones.
Pipe Wrench with Improved Design for Side Bite
A hand tool includes a handle section, a working end operably coupled to the handle section, and a jaw assembly disposed at the working end. The jaw assembly includes a movable jaw and a fixed jaw. A span defined between the movable jaw and the fixed jaw is adjustable. Each of the movable jaw and the fixed jaw includes an array of teeth defined by ridges that extend substantially parallel to each other. The array of teeth on each of the fixed jaw and the movable jaw includes a first set of teeth having a first width and a first depth, and a second set of teeth having a second width and a second depth. The first depth is less than the second depth and the first width is less than the second width.

Fixed Adjustable Wrench
A fixed adjustable wrench. The fixed adjustable wrench includes a handle having a fixed jaw and an adjustable jaw forming a gap therebetween. The adjustable jaw is slidable along a shoulder and is adapted to cooperate with the fixed jaw to secure an object within the gap. An engagement member having a first set of teeth is configured to selectively interlock with a second set of teeth of the adjustable jaw. A second end of the engagement member is operably connected to a lever that is selectively moveable between an engagement position and a disengagement position. In the engagement position, the engagement member is coupled to the adjustable jaw via an interlocking of the first set of teeth and the second set of teeth. In the disengagement position, the engagement member is disengaged from the adjustable jaw allowing selective positioning of the adjustable jaw.
ADJUSTABLE DUAL-RANGE WRENCH
An adjustable dual-range wrench including an elongate handle and a fixed jaw carried by the handle. The fixed jaw includes multiple teeth disposed linearly along the jaw. A hook jaw is pivotably coupled to the handle opposite the fixed jaw. A toothed lobe is adjustably positioned along the fixed jaw between an outer engagement region sized to engage a first range of sizes and an inner engagement region sized to engage a second range of sizes. The hook jaw comprises a first set of teeth associated with the outer engagement region and a second set of teeth associated with the inner engagement region.
Combination Pipe and Spud Wrench
A combination pipe and spud wrench features a main body having an elongated shank, and a shoulder jutting laterally outward from the shank at a distal portion thereof. A channel passes axially through the shoulder, a distal face of which has flat and serrated jaws on opposing sides of the channel. A working body has a stem passing axially through the channel, a second flat jaw facing the shoulder's flat jaw on a first side of the stem, and a second serrated jaw facing the shoulder's serrated jaw on a second side of the stem. An adjustment nut threaded on the stem is axially constrained position, and is rotatable to displace the working body and thereby adjustably resize the flat-sided and serrated jaw spaces. The stem is biased in a default position placing flat jaws parallel to one another, and is tiltable in one direction from its default position.
Extendable Wrench
A pipe wrench is provided with an extendable handle that fits within a cavity of the head. A lever locks the extended length of the extendable handle along a continuous spectrum between a maximum and a minimum extension of the handle. The lever includes cam surfaces. In an unlocked position, the thickness of the lever between the pivot and a friction plate is less than the thickness between the pivot and the friction plate in the locked position. The friction plate is a composite comprising a top lever plate, a midsection, and a concave surface. The lever plate and concave surface include hard, durable materials, and the midsection is a soft elastic material that redistributes frictional forces across the frictional block. The channel-lock prevents inadvertent overextension and/or accidental removal of the extendable handle.
Pipe wrench
A pipe wrench includes a head having a first aperture defining a central axis. The pipe wrench includes a first jaw coupled to the head having a plurality of teeth defining a first contact region, and a second jaw partially extending through the aperture of the head having a threaded portion and a plurality of teeth defining a second contact region. The second contact region extends beyond the first contact region in a direction parallel to side surfaces of the head. The pipe wrench includes a biasing mechanism located within the first aperture to align the threaded portion of the second jaw with the central axis of the first aperture, and an actuator having threads engaged with the threaded portion of the second jaw such that rotation of the actuator moves the second contact region of the second jaw relative to the first contact region of the first jaw.
Pipe wrench
A wrench includes a body having a head and a handle portion defining a longitudinal axis. The wrench includes a first jaw coupled to the head with the first jaw including first teeth and an edge. The edge defines a width of the first jaw. The wrench includes a second jaw extending through an aperture of the head with the second jaw including a threaded portion and second teeth. The wrench includes an actuator coupled to the threaded portion of the second jaw such that rotation of the actuator relative to the second jaw moves the second teeth relative to the first teeth. A length is measured from the edge of the first jaw to the second end of the handle portion parallel to the longitudinal axis. A ratio of the width of the first jaw over the length is less than 0.06.
