20180001448 · 2018-01-04 ·

An oil filter wrench. The oil filter wrench includes a housing and an engagement lever. The head portion of the engagement lever has an aperture sized to receive an oil filter therethrough and may have protrusions adapted to engage the oil filter. The engagement lever is rotatable around the center of the aperture and in relation to the housing such that the handle portion of the engagement lever is movable from a first position distal to the handle of the housing to a second position proximate to the housing. The handles of the engagement lever and the housing may be gripped by one hand, allowing for ease of operation of the oil filter wrench.

OIL FILTER TOOL
20180009094 · 2018-01-11 ·

An oil filter tool used to remove filters and mitigate spillage of oil during and after removal. Sidewalls with grooves between form a substantial cylinder. Curved walls form the grooves, extend outwardly from the sidewalls, and provide some flexibility in the tool's diameter, thereby permitting use with filters other than those for which the tool was designed. A floor is joined by the sidewalls and curved walls to define a chamber in which the filter is mounted. A finger limits insertion of the filter to define a gap into which oil can flow. A funneling guide is angled at the end of the sidewalls opposite the floor to guide oil into the chamber. At least one of the grooves is closed at the guide end and there is an aperture to permit air flow out of the chamber.

OIL FILTER REMOVAL TOOL

An oil filter removal tool configured for removal of a filter cartridge is provided, including: a main body, including a driving portion configured to be connected with a driven portion of the filter cartridge so that the main body is rotatable with the filter cartridge; a cover portion, connected with the main body, including an opening corresponding to the driving portion, the opening being configured for assembling of the driven portion of the filter cartridge therewithin; wherein the main body has a first flexibility, the cover portion has a second flexibility, and the second flexibility is greater than the first flexibility.

Fluid drainage tool
11519308 · 2022-12-06 · ·

A fluid drainage tool and method for utilizing the same is disclosed. The fluid drainage tool includes one or more pairs of vacuum members and a mechanical clamping mechanism. The mechanical clamping mechanism is coupled to the one or more pairs of vacuum members and is adapted to move the one or more pairs of vacuum members between an unclamped configuration and a clamped configuration. In the unclamped configuration, a gap formed by each of the one or more pairs of the vacuum members is larger than an original outer diameter of a pliable tube. In the clamped configuration, the gap is smaller than the original outer diameter of the pliable tube. In the clamped configuration, the one or more pairs of vacuum members compresses the pliable tube and generates a suction force within the pliable tube when translated along the pliable tube.

Disposable sheath for oil filter removal and containment
11492195 · 2022-11-08 ·

A disposable oil filter containment sheath is provided for use during oil changes for combustion engines. The sheath has a closed bottom, a cylindrical sidewall, and an open top. The resilient sheath is rolled to an initial collapsed position for placement on the bottom of an oil filter mounted on the engine, and it is partially unrolled along the filter. The filter can then be loosened to allow oil to drain into the sheath for capturing a reservoir. After the filter is removed from the engine, the sheath is completely unrolled and tied at the top so as to fully enclose and contain the oil filter and oil. The sheath and its contents are then ready for disposal.

Removal tool for a filter insert of a liquid filter

A removal tool for a filter insert of a liquid filter. The removal tool includes a body extending along a longitudinal axis. At a distal end, the body includes a first arm and a second arm, the two arms extending essentially in parallel to the longitudinal axis and being spaced apart from one another. The two arms are elastically reversibly deflectable toward one another. A retaining element is situated at the first arm. In an open state of the retaining element, the two arms may be moved toward one another. In a closed state of the retaining element, the retaining element couples the two arms to one another and blocks a movement of the two arms toward one another.

TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY COMPRISING A TRANSMISSION HOUSING AND A RECEIVING SPACE FOR RECEIVING AN ELECTRONIC AND/OR ELECTRICAL FUNCTIONAL UNIT

A transmission assembly may include a transmission housing; and a receiving space for receiving an electrical functional unit. The receiving space may be formed by at least one wall in the transmission housing and a lid unit, the receiving space may be sealable from an exterior environment via a seal in a contact region on the transmission housing and the lid unit. The lid unit may be connectable to the transmission housing by a screw, where the lid unit includes a channel through which at least part of the screw passes, and where the channel has an inner thread section.

Removal tool for a filter insert of a liquid filter

A removal tool for a filter insert of a liquid filter. The removal tool includes a first arm having a first outer side, the first outer side extending along a first axis. It furthermore includes a second arm having a second outer side, the second outer side extending along a second axis. The first arm includes a first hook, which projects from the first arm essentially transversely to the first axis. The second arm includes a second hook, which projects from the second arm essentially transversely to the second axis. The first outer side and the second outer side are connected to one another with a swivel joint having a joint axis.

Oil filter wrench

An oil filter wrench having a base, a main gear, a plurality of claws each having a gear portion and an arm configured to engage an oil filter. The gear portions are rotatably disposed within the base and configured to engage the main gear such that when the main gear rotates; the arms correspondingly extend or contract relative to the base. The oil filter wrench also includes a main spring. The main spring is disposed within a cavity defined by the main gear. The main spring is configured to selectively bias the main gear toward rotation in either a first direction or a second direction opposite to the first direction. The oil filter wrench is characterised in that it also includes a switching mechanism a switching mechanism. The switching mechanism is configured to selectively toggle between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the switching mechanism engages a first tine of the main spring such that the main gear is biased to rotate in the first direction. In the second position, the switching mechanism engages a second tine of the main spring such that the main gear is biased to rotate in the second direction. The switching mechanism is toggled between the first and second positions by respectively engaging a first pin or a second pin that is integrated into one of the plurality of claws.
