Imprint apparatus and article manufacturing method
An imprint apparatus is operable to perform an imprint process, which is for forming a pattern on an imprint material on a substrate by using a mold, for each of shot regions of the substrate. The apparatus includes a controller configured to control alignment between the mold and the substrate. The controller determines a target position obtained by adding a predetermined additional amount to a movement amount of a substrate stage according to a positional deviation between the mold and the substrate, starts movement of the stage towards the determined target position, and starts curing of the imprint material by a curing device at a timing at which the detected positional deviation falls within an allowable range during the movement of the stage.

Closed loop feedback press
The pressing of an article is achieved with a closed-loop feedback press. The closed-loop feedback press is effective to measure an amount of pressure applied and adjust the pressure to achieve a prescribed amount of compression on the article. Further, the press may leverage a closed-loop feedback system to maintain a consistent temperature of one or more platens. The press is able to adjust a pressure applied one or more times during a pressing operation to accelerate a temperature change in the pressed article while reducing the pressure applied as the temperature approaches a target temperature to limit unintentional deformation and bleeding of the pressed material of the article.
Compression molding machine and method of compression molding
A compression molding machine including a base part; a first mold chase fixed in a position spaced apart from the base part; a second mold chase disposed between the base part and the first mold chase, the second mold chase movable along a movement axis extending perpendicularly between the base part and the first mold chase; and a compression actuation arrangement for moving the second mold chase. The compression actuation arrangement including at least two independent actuating units, each having a first inverted wedge member, a second wedge member, and a drive mechanism. An inclined surface of the first inverted wedge member and an inclined surface of the second wedge member is slidably engaged to each other to convert a motion of the second wedge member along the transmission axis to a motion of the first inverted wedge member along the actuation axis for moving the second mold chase.
Mold and method for molding a reinforced preform
A mold for molding a reinforced preform having at least two apertures therein includes first and second mold halves, first and second emitters disposed in the mold halves and configured to emit light therefrom, first and second receivers disposed in the mold halves and configured to receive light from the respective first and second emitters, and first and second moving members having couplings for connection with side portions of the reinforced preform and actuators for moving the couplings between respective first and second positions. A controller determines an alignment condition based on signals received from the receivers. If the alignment condition fails to meet predetermined criteria, then at least one of the actuators is caused to move its coupling from its respective first position to a respective adjusted position that is different from the respective second position.
DEVICE FOR PROCESSING A PARTICLE FOAM MATERIAL TO PRODUCE A PARTICLE FOAM MOULDING
A device for processing a particle foam material for producing a particle foam moulded part, comprising: at least one die apparatus, comprising a first die element and at least one additional die element, wherein the first die element is mounted so as to be movable along a movement axis relative to the at least one additional die element and/or the at least one additional die element is mounted so as to be movable along the or at least one movement axis relative to the first die element; at least one drive apparatus which is or can be assigned to the at least one die apparatus and is configured for generating and/or transmitting a drive force that sets the first die element and/or the at least one additional die element into a movement along the movement axis, wherein the least one drive apparatus is designed as or comprises a linear-drive apparatus.
