Molds and methods for molding golf balls having a thermoplastic polyurethane cover
Golf ball molds and methods for molding golf balls, particularly golf balls having thermoplastic polyurethane covers, are provided. The molds and methods are particularly suitable for manufacturing covers for golf balls. Multi-piece golf balls having inner cores, outer cores, inner covers, and intermediate layers can be made. Retractable pins are used for holding the golf ball within the mold, wherein each retractable pin has a primary vent section, secondary vent section, and tertiary vent section for removing air and other gasses from the interior spherical cavity of the mold.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE INCLUDING HOUSING AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING HOUSING
According to an embodiment of the disclosure, an electronic device may include: a housing defining at least one surface of the electronic device. The housing may include: a metal plate comprising at least one penetration hole, a first nonmetallic part combined with the metal plate and surrounding at least a part of a side surface of the metal plate, and a second nonmetallic part at least partially disposed in the at least one penetration hole and providing a part of the one surface.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR APPLYING MOLDABLE MATERIAL TO A PIPE BY INJECTING MOLDABLE MATERIAL FROM A MOVABLE SUPPORT
A molding system for applying moldable material to a pipe. An elongate mold has at least one elongate mold member movable relative another elongate mold member between open and closed positions. The mold includes a pipe support that extends generally radially into a mold cavity along a support axis. An inner end of the support is configured to support the pipe in a molding position in which an annular portion of the mold cavity extends circumferentially around the pipe. After moldable material in the annular portion of the mold cavity can support the pipe, the support is withdrawn from the mold cavity by moving outwardly along the support axis. An injector selectively dispenses additional moldable material into a space formed by the support in the existing moldable material.
TOOL SYSTEM FOR PRODUCING A WORKPIECE BY MEANS OF INJECTION MOLDING
A tool system for producing a workpiece by injection-molding includes: a tool part which has a cavity for shaping the workpiece from an injection-molding compound; and an adjusting device, which has a drive, a drive shaft, and a plurality of adjusting elements which are operatively connected to the drive shaft and are adjustable via the drive shaft. Driven by the drive, the adjusting elements, each with an actuating section for acting on at least one portion of the workpiece, are adjustable relative to the cavity.
DUAL-SIDED MOLDING FOR ENCAPSULATING ELECTRONIC DEVICES
A molding system for molding electronic components mounted on first and second sides of a substrate has a molding cavity onto which the substrate is locatable for molding. The molding cavity has a first section covering a molding portion of the first side of the substrate, and a second section covering a molding portion of the second side of the substrate. First and second pots have plungers for compressing molding compound placed therein. First and second runners connect the first and second pots to the first and second sections of the molding cavity for introducing the molding compound onto both sides of the substrate. In particular, the runners extend at least from an edge of the substrate along both sides of the substrate to the molding cavity.
Reinforced thermoplastic and fabric injection overmolding
An LWRT plus fabric injection overmolding process for the direct injection molding of thermoplastic features onto the B-side of a formed, finished Light Weight Reinforced Thermoplastic panel. The panel having an A-side finish cloth, non-woven, TPO, Vinyl or similar material placed into the injection molding press and injection molding tool, and then the features are injection molded onto the panel without damaging the A-side finish.
System and method for molding RFID tags
An example method for making a radio frequency identification (RFID) tag according to the present disclosure includes holding a transponder within a cavity of a mold using a fixture, closing the mold, injecting material into the mold cavity and around the transponder to form a part of the RFID tag, opening the mold, and ejecting the part from the mold.
