Pipette with encapsulated or integral filter, and method and apparatus for forming same
Measuring pipettes including integral or encapsulated filters, as well as methods and apparatuses for forming the same, are provided. A filter material (e.g., a discrete element in solid form) or a filter material precursor (e.g., a foamable thermoplastic composition and a blowing agent) to be introduced into a hollow interior of a softened thermoplastic material present within a mold during pipette fabrication. A pipette includes a filter element comprising foamed polymeric material within a mouthpiece region, wherein an outer portion of the filter element is bound to or encapsulated in an inner wall of the mouthpiece region. A filter material precursor may be supplied coaxially with a tubular flow of thermoplastic material into the mold, may be supplied laterally through a mold wall, or may be injected into a molten thermoplastic pipette forming material upstream of an extruder outlet.

A method for manufacturing an internal reinforcement for a motor vehicle tank, the internal reinforcement being designed to connect an upper wall and a lower wall of the tank, is provided. A resin fuel tank includes a peripheral wall portion that is configured to structure a portion of a fuel tank main body portion that is made of resin and in which fuel is stored, the peripheral wall portion having a parting line portion that is visible from an outer side of the fuel tank main body portion, and a projecting portion that is solid, is disposed along the parting line portion, and is configured to project outward, integrally with the peripheral wall portion, from the peripheral wall portion toward the outer side of the fuel tank main body portion.

METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A PLASTIC TANK
A process for manufacturing a plastic tank for a motor vehicle. The process includes inserting at least one stiffening profile into a shell mould having walls. The at least one stiffening profile is configured to minimise undesirable deformation of the plastic tank. The process also includes applying a negative pressure to simultaneously maintain a position of each stiffening profile in the shell mould, form a tank wall by facilitating flow of plastic material onto the walls of the shell mould, and form a form-fitting connection between the tank wall and each stiffening profile by facilitating flow of the plastic material around the stiffening profile.

A container with a handle, in which a handle is engaged with a portion of the container, is manufactured by arranging the handle in a handle arrangement part, inserting a bottomed tubular preform into a cavity of a mold and performing blow molding. The mold includes an inner wall surface that forms an external shape of the container and a pressurizing member that forms a handle engaging part engaging with the handle to a portion of the container, and the pressurizing member is capable of moving between a first position which is a position at an outer side of the inner wall surface and a second position at which a portion of the inner wall surface is formed.

A resin fuel tank includes a peripheral wall portion that is configured to structure a portion of a fuel tank main body portion that is made of resin and in which fuel is stored, the peripheral wall portion having a parting line portion that is visible from an outer side of the fuel tank main body portion, and a projecting portion that is solid, is disposed along the parting line portion, and is configured to project outward, integrally with the peripheral wall portion, from the peripheral wall portion toward the outer side of the fuel tank main body portion.
Mill-style blow molding wheel mechanism and method of manufacturing using the same
In one embodiment, an apparatus and a method of manufacturing a paperboard tray therewith is provided. In particular, a hub is configured to rotate about a shaft. On the hub, a plurality of first molds are formed in the hub. Conversely, a plurality of second molds are each disposed above each of the plurality of first molds respectively and rotate above the first molds. In this configuration, the plurality of second molds are configured to move in unison with the plurality of first molds as the hub and second molds rotate and to move orthogonally towards and then away from the first molds as the second molds rotate.
