Process for forming a nonwoven composite
The application relates to a nonwoven composite containing a plurality of solid regions and a plurality of porous regions. The solid and porous regions form a repeating pattern on the surface of the composite. The solid regions contain a solid region nonwoven layer, an optional solid region polymer-fiber infused layer, and a solid region cap layer. The solid region nonwoven layer contains a plurality of first staple fibers and less than about 5% by volume of a first polymer. The solid region cap layer contains the first polymer and less than about 5% by volume of the first staple fibers. The porous regions contain a porous region nonwoven layer and a porous region polymer-fiber infused layer. The porous region nonwoven layer contains a plurality of the first staple fibers and less than about 5% by volume of a first polymer. The porous region polymer-fiber infused layer contains a plurality of pores.

The present disclosure generally relates to devices and methods for furniture protection. More particularly, the present disclosure relates to foam-film sheets configured to protect furniture from damage. An exemplary foam-film sheet as disclosed herein includes a sheet of foam material having a first lateral edge and a second lateral edge; a sheet of film material having a first lateral edge and a second lateral edge; a first seal between a portion of the foam material proximate its first lateral edge and a portion of the film material proximate its first lateral edge; and a second seal between a portion of the foam material proximate its second lateral edge and a portion of the film material proximate its second lateral edge, wherein the film and foam are substantially unsealed along the entire transverse width between the first and second sealed portions near the lateral edges of the foam material.

The present disclosure generally relates to devices and methods for furniture protection. More particularly, the present disclosure relates to foam-film sheets configured to protect furniture from damage. An exemplary foam-film sheet as disclosed herein includes a sheet of foam material having a first lateral edge and a second lateral edge; a sheet of film material having a first lateral edge and a second lateral edge; a first seal between a portion of the foam material proximate its first lateral edge and a portion of the film material proximate its first lateral edge; and a second seal between a portion of the foam material proximate its second lateral edge and a portion of the film material proximate its second lateral edge, wherein the film and foam are substantially unsealed along the entire transverse width between the first and second sealed portions near the lateral edges of the foam material.

A dielectric welding film capable of achieving a tight welding through a short period of dielectric heating, and a welding method using the dielectric welding film are provided. The dielectric welding film is configured to weld a pair of adherends of the same material or different materials through dielectric heating, the dielectric welding film including a thermoplastic resin as an A component and a dielectric filler as a B component and satisfying the conditions (i) and (ii): (i) a melting point or softening point measured in accordance with JIS K 7121 (1987) is in a range from 80 to 200 degrees C.; and (ii) heat of fusion measured in accordance with JIS K 7121 (1987) is in a range from 1 to 80 J/g.

A dielectric welding film capable of achieving a tight welding through a short period of dielectric heating, and a welding method using the dielectric welding film are provided. A method for fabricating wetsuit garment including wetsuits, boots and gloves for water sports uses, comprising preparation of at least a substantially elastic joining member made of hot melt adhesive, and joining at least two interconnected panels of rubber foam or sponge by the substantially elastic joining member to cover and seal the seam between the two interconnected panels for firmly bonding the two interconnected panels for making a strong, elastic and flexible wetsuit garment.

A method for fabricating wetsuit garment including wetsuits, boots and gloves for water sports uses, comprising preparation of at least a substantially elastic joining member made of hot melt adhesive, and joining at least two interconnected panels of rubber foam or sponge by the substantially elastic joining member to cover and seal the seam between the two interconnected panels for firmly bonding the two interconnected panels for making a strong, elastic and flexible wetsuit garment.

A substrate bonding method which enables forming a precision fine space using a method that is simpler and easier than conventional methods; and a laminated body production method that uses the substrate bonding method. This substrate bonding method includes disposing a first substrate on a photoresist pattern formed on a support film so as to bring the first substrate into contact with a surface of the photoresist pattern located on the side opposite to the support film, and pressure-bonding the support film, the photoresist pattern, and the first substrate; releasing the bonded support film after the pressure-bonding; and disposing a second substrate on the photoresist pattern so as to bring the second substrate into contact with the surface of the photoresist pattern located on the side opposite to the first substrate, and pressure-bonding the first substrate, the photoresist pattern, and the second substrate.

The invention relates to covers for wastewater treatment lagoons, which are typically covered by expansive stretches of sheet-form, high density polyethylene (HDPE). The invention more particularly relates to improvements in attaching HDPE patches at distributed locations thereon, which patches provide locally increased thickness to the cover in service as seats for attachment of further attachments to the cover, such as for example and without limitation HDPE straps for retention of HDPE grout-filled ballast pipes, and so on.
