Method for applying reinforcing seam tape
09731449 · 2017-08-15 · ·

A method for applying a thermoreactive seam tape to a seam is provided. The thermoreactive seam tape may be positioned adjacent to the seam, which may include a first fabric surface and an adjacent second fabric surface. The thermoreactive seam tape may include an interior planar surface that engages both the first fabric surface and the second fabric surface of the seam. The thermoreactive seam tape may further include an exterior surface opposite the interior surface, where the exterior surface is substantially non-planar with respect to the interior planar surface along a length of the thermoreactive seam tape. Heat and pressure may be applied to the thermoreactive seam tape, wherein the heat and the pressure facilitate adhesion of the thermoreactive seam tape to the first fabric surface and the second fabric surface of the seam.

BUILDING ELEMENT, A METHOD FOR THE MANUFACTURE THEREOF, A PROFILE AND A COMBINATION OF A PROFILE AND A PANEL

A building element, comprising a profile and a panel, characterized in that the profile and the panel are mutually coupled by means of a deformation of the panel inside the profile. The profile preferably comprises a housing with an inner wall and an internal space defined within the inner wall and at least one access opening in the inner wall providing access to the inner space, wherein in the inner space at least a part of a form element is arranged, which form element is coupled to the inner wall on a side remote from the access opening, and wherein a thickness of the form element near the coupling to the inner wall is smaller than at a position between the coupling to the inner wall and the access opening.

Device and method for cutting raw fabric

An aspect of the present invention provides a raw fabric cutting device. The device comprises: a support portion for supporting a raw fabric; a compressing portion for evacuating the space between a cover arranged on the raw fabric and the support portion such that the raw fabric is compressed; a cutting portion transferred above the support portion so as to cut the raw fabric; and a sealing portion transferred together with the cutting portion and configured to supply a sealing member to an open area of the cover, which is exposed as the raw fabric is cut, thereby covering the open area, wherein the sealing portion comprises a sealing member cutting portion for forming a notch on at least one side of the sealing member in the transverse direction with regard to the direction of transfer of the sealing member.

Molded resin product

A molded resin product includes a design layer including a decorative layer having a first color, a shielding layer having a second color different from the first color, and a resin base layer. A cover layer formed of a polymer film is disposed close to one end of the design layer. Part of the decorative layer exposed from the shielding layer serves as an exposed region. The exposed region and part of the shielding layer constitute a pattern portion presenting a predetermined figure or character when viewed in plan through the cover layer. The rest of the shielding layer constitutes a base portion. The layer thickness of the base portion is set smaller than the layer thickness of the pattern portion in a region thereof where the shielding layer is formed.

METHOD OF USING ROLLED CONNECTING SYSTEMS FOR ADJACENT ENDS OF INSULATION TUBING
20200290292 · 2020-09-17 · ·

A method of applying a pressure sensitive transfer adhesive to at least two end faces of insulation tubing, using a rolled connection system for adjacent ends of insulated tubing sections having a substrate roll of continuous release liner. Pressure sensitive transfer adhesive material members configured to conform with the ends of insulated tubing sections to be joined are spaced at selected distances from each other along the length of the continuous release liner. A second release liner covers each pressure sensitive adhesive material member and includes a tab to facilitate removal of the second release liner from the adhesive material members to facilitate joining juxtaposed face portion of the ends of the insulated tubing to be connected.

Composite member

A composite member comprises first and second elongate composite elements. Each has a wedge shaped end with a complimentary tapered end surface. At least one of the components is formed of a stack of fiber layers impregnated in resin, with the tapered end surface being formed by each fiber layer extending longitudinally progressively further than the adjacent layer towards the thin end of the wedge at which the fiber layers have the greatest longitudinal extent. The components are joined at their tapered ends by an adhesive, and the properties of the cured composite material of the at least one component and/or the properties of the adhesive are different in the vicinity of the thin end of the wedge as compared to the rest of the tapered surface in order to reduce the stress concentrations in this region.

Joint, and aircraft structure

A joint (20) joins a plate member (26) with a preform (22), wherein an inclined part (28), which is inclined relative to a surface that is orthogonal to the direction in which a tensile load is applied to the plate member (26), is formed on a surface (25) that joins with the preform (22). Moreover, an indented part (38) corresponding to the shape of the inclined part (28) is formed on the preform (22) so that the inclined part (28) of the joint (20) is embedded into the indented part (38). The joint (20) is embedded in and bonded to the preform (22).
