COMPACTING ASSEMBLY FOR TRASH RECEPTACLES
20170313507 · 2017-11-02 ·

A trash compacting assembly which is selectably coupled to a conventional front loader trash receptacle and operates to compact material disposed in the trash receptacle. The trash compacting assembly includes a base plate sized to sit on top of the top opening of the target trash receptacle, an electrical press operative to selectively generate vertical movement, a guiding system operative to transfer vertical movement from, and a compacting plate for compressing material. In operation, when the trash compacting assembly is locked in place on a target trash receptacle, a user can actuate the electrical press to cause vertical movement generated by the electrical press to be transferred to the compacting plate, by way of the guiding system, thereby moving the compacting plate such that it compresses material in the target receptacle.

Waste material compaction apparatus and vehicle including same

The present disclosure concerns a compaction apparatus having a hopper housing defining a hopper chamber to receive materials; a container storing the materials in a compacted fashion; a screw conveying the materials from the hopper chamber to the container and comprising a screw hopper segment extending in the hopper chamber; a partition assembly located between the hopper and the container; and a containment assembly comprising a flap mounted to the hopper housing and being movable between a loading configuration wherein the flap uncovers the screw hopper segment, and a containment configuration in which the flap at least partially covers the screw hopper segment to contain the materials in the hopper chamber.

Autonomously Propelled Waste Receptacle and Associated Methods

Embodiments of the present invention are related to an autonomously propelled waste receptacle including a top, a collapsible lid, a housing, an exterior, an interior, and a bottom. The housing includes a circuit board panel, a door, and doorway. The exterior includes a user interface, a plurality of sensors, at least one antenna, and a camera. The interior includes a bin, a trash compactor with a plurality of threaded rods connected to the collapsible lid, an upper can platform, and a bottom tech platform. The bottom includes a plurality of wheels used to drive the autonomously propelled waste receptacle.

The collapsible lid also acts as a descending masher compacting trash within the interior bin and the bin is structured to rotate through the doorway to empty. The autonomously propelled waste receptacle may navigate using at least one of sensors, camera, WiFi communication, cellular communication, and GPS communication.

Packer device

The present invention is directed toward a new and improved compactor or packer. The compactor, which may be used to compact refuse, includes a container, a track disposed within the container, and a ball screw rotatably disposed within the track. The compactor further includes a ball nut operatively coupled around the ball screw, where rotation of the ball screw causes the ball nut to move along or traverse the ball screw. A packer blade is coupled to the ball nut via a floating interface. Movement of the ball nut long the ball screw due to rotation of the ball screw forces the packer blade to move within the container. The floating interface allows the packer blade to float within the container with respect to the ball nut to reduce the likelihood of binding of the ball nut on the ball screw as the packer blade traverses within the container.

At least one base support, b. A linear actuator attached to the at least one base support, the linear actuator having an extendable and retractable shaft, the shaft having a proximal end within the actuator and a distal end, c. A compression head connected to the distal end of the shaft, and d. Control means for controlling extension and retraction of the shaft,

The container having a top lip portion, the base support positioned on the top lip portion, the linear activator having a first position and a second position, in the first position the shaft is fully retracted into the linear actuator, in the second position the shaft is extended further below the top lip portion of the container.

Tamping punch station and method of filling capsules in a tamping punch station

A tamping punch station for filling capsules in a capsule filling machine is described. The machine includes a rotatably drivable dosing disk with bore holes and a filling device for filling the bore holes. Tamping punches and ejection punches are held on a punch support, and vertical movement of the punch support causes the tamping punches to press filling material into the bore holes and the ejection punches to eject pellets created by the tamping punches in the bore holes. A first drive rotates the dosing disk along punches and a second drive moves the punch support. The second drive includes at least two spindle drives acting on the punch support with respectively one spindle nut and respectively one vertical drive spindle guided in the spindle nut and at least two drive motors, which drive respectively one of the spindle drives for vertical movement of the punch support.
