Certain examples described herein relate to liquid waste containers delimiting an opening for receiving liquid. The liquid waste container comprises a receptacle for liquid waste and a bistable arrangement having first and second stable states such that when the bistable arrangement is in the first stable state, liquid can be received into the receptacle through the opening, and when the bistable arrangement is in the second stable state, liquid is prevented from exiting the receptacle through the opening. The example liquid waste container further comprises an actuator arranged to engage the bistable arrangement and to cause the bistable arrangement to transition from the first stable state to the second stable state.

Liquid supplying device having tank and cartridge attachable thereto

A liquid supplying device includes a tank a tank and a cartridge. The cartridge includes a first storage chamber. The cartridge is formed with a communicating opening in communication with the first storage chamber. The tank has a second storage chamber and a joint having a hollow cylindrical shape. In an attachment state where the communicating opening of the cartridge is connected to the joint, the first storage chamber has a portion positioned above the joint and the second storage chamber is positioned below the joint. At least in the first end portion, the liquid passage has a rectangular shape in a cross section taken along a plane perpendicular to an extending direction of the liquid passage.

A liquid container to be mounted in a liquid ejection apparatus contains liquid to be ejected from the liquid ejection apparatus. The liquid container comprises a liquid container bag containing liquid, at least one tube arranged in the inner space of the liquid container bag and having the first end open to the inner space, a connection member fitted to the aperture of the liquid container bag and connected to the second end of the tube and a holding member supported by the connection member and arranged in the inner space to hold the tube, the holding member having at least a groove for receiving the tube to be fitted thereinto at a position thereof other than the second end thereof. The holding member can integrally be molded.

Liquid container and liquid ejection apparatus

A liquid container is removably mountable into the apparatus body of a liquid ejection apparatus. The liquid container comprises a liquid storage chamber equipped with an air intake hole and a liquid supply port, for storing liquid and a valve unit having a sealing member and an urging member. The urging member is arranged so as to be at least partly rotationally movable and the urging member has urging force for urging the sealing member in the direction of making the sealing member abut the air intake hole. The sealing member is rotationally movable between a position of abutting and closing the air intake hole and a position separated from the air intake hole so as to open the air intake hole in response to a rotary motion of the urging member.

In another example a sub-assembly of such apparatus is provided.

Examples of a fluidic interface for a printing device are described. In some examples, the fluidic interface may include a shutter lock to prevent movement of a shutter covering a needle to engage a print substance supply. In some examples, the fluidic interface may also include a supply key opening to receive a supply key of the print substance supply that engages the shutter lock to permit movement of the shutter to expose the needle.

A recording apparatus includes a conveyance unit that conveys a recording medium in a first direction toward a recording head for ejecting a liquid, a tank including a containing chamber containing the liquid to be supplied to the recording head, and an injection port through which the liquid is injected into the containing chamber, the tank being disposed downstream of the conveyance unit in the first direction, a rotatable lever that holds a tank cap for closing the injection port, and a cover that rotates about a rotation shaft between an open position for exposing the lever and a closed position for covering the lever, the rotation shaft being disposed upstream of the conveyance unit in the first direction. The cover includes a sliding portion that is provided on a surface facing the lever and comes into contact with the lever while the cover is rotating toward the closed position.

The liquid storage tank includes an atmosphere communication portion in communication with the atmosphere and a first connecting portion that, in a state where the cartridge is attached to the liquid storage tank, enables the cartridge to be in liquid communication with the liquid storage tank. The liquid storage tank also includes a second connecting portion that, in the state where the cartridge is attached to the liquid storage tank, is connected to the cartridge so as to be liquid-tight with the cartridge and enables the cartridge to be in gaseous communication with the atmosphere communication portion.
