A notebook is provided comprising a number of expert guidance pages and instructional figures. The notebook includes integrated guidance and information sheets that describe using different note-taking methods. The notebook may include supplemental pages that teach and reinforce note-taking methods and approaches, as well as a variety of other pages designed to provide a functional notebook. One or more of the pages, including the supplemental pages, can be removed by tearing along a perforated edge.

A bound collection of leaves having a spine and a method of its manufacture are disclosed. Each leaf of a first plurality of leaves of the bound collection includes a first pattern of tabs by which that leaf is bound. The tabs of the first pattern are distributed along a binding axis of that leaf that is parallel to a spine axis of the spine. Each leaf of a second plurality of leaves of the bound collection includes a second pattern of tabs different than the first pattern by which that leaf is bound. The tabs of the second pattern are distributed along a binding axis of that leaf that is parallel to the spine axis. Each tab of the first pattern and second pattern of tabs extends in a direction orthogonal to the binding axis from within an unbound region to a binding-side edge of that leaf.

A method and resulting product of generating a bible torah or other religious text personalized to an intended recipient. The person giving the bible selects a characterization of a bible, such as a cowboy bible, truck driver's bible, lawyer's bible, children's bible, woman's bible and the like. Then the giver selects an age group of the intended recipient of the bible. Based on this information the system then presents a form for the giver to select from a list of problems experienced by said intended recipient. The giver is then given an opportunity to select additional passages from the bible or other sacred texts to be highlighted. A personalized message with sections highlighted which related to an intended recipients age and problems. This message can be a bound volume produced by the steps of feeding lightweight paper through a printer, printing using an inkjet technique or other relatively thinly deposited ink to print on said paper to result in producing printed paper, and binding said printed paper into a volume. The inventive combination may incorporate lightweight or ordinary paper in one volume of a scriptural or underlying religious text (such as the Holy Bible, the Torah, or the Qur'an) and a biographical text detailing the triumphs and hardships of the life of either a celebrated public figure or an extraordinary but seemingly every-day character. By cross-referencing these two texts, and packaging them in a single volume form where they can easily be flipped between, the teachings of a particular religious faith can be made more readily accessible to the public at large.

Embodiments of a store label booklet include a plurality of sheets stacked one on top of the other and connected to a binding that spans an entire thickness of the booklet, each sheet including a planar array of store labels. No release coating is used. When each store label or row is removed from the book, a liner strip remains connected to the binder and a portion of the adhesive lying opposite the liner strip is exposed for application of the label to a retail shelf edge. Each store label may differ in orientation, size, or style and may contain different product information. Location information may be located on a binding of the booklet, on the label, or on both the binding and the label. The store labels may be printed in a predetermined order.

A book workstation includes a left cover and a right cover, a center spine, and pages sequentially arranged and bound to the center spine. The workbook includes at least one of: a) a left-side underlay and a left-side overlay, each bound to the left-side cover via a left-side spine, or b) a right-side underlay and a right-side overlay, each bound to the right-side cover via a right-side spine. In an open position, the pages can be split into left and right stacks. Indicia on a top page of the left stack are equivalent to indicia on a top page of the right stack. Relative orientations of the indicia enable each of a pair of users to view the indicia on one of the pages at the same time. Each underlay and overlay can be interleaved between pages of one stack, or placed on the top page of that stack.

A planner system includes a planner cover, one or more couplers, and a plurality of booklets removably coupled with the planner cover using the one or more couplers. The planner cover is sized to substantially cover the plurality of booklets in a closed configuration. The plurality of booklets includes: one or more routine tracker pages configured for receiving and tracking a plurality of daily tasks related to a routine; and one or more happiness planner pages configured for receiving and tracking a plurality of daily tasks related to improving happiness.

A system of notebooks that are color-coded to relate to a particular class or subject. For example, a green notebook could relate to a Science class, a red notebook could relate to Math, etc. The notebooks are fashioned to employ different calligraphy. The system further includes control articles such as an agenda to track student progress using indicia and give rewards to the student for achieving predetermined milestones. The indicia correlates sections in the control article (agenda) with the notebooks or other items. Said indicia visually aids students, parents and teachers to track the student's progress and creating a habit of having an organized schedule for school.

The systems and apparatus can include a releasable, removable, or un-releasable binding device, tamper-evident features, labeling features, and binding components can be configured to fasten, connect, and/or secure covering devices and which can substantially rotate 360 degrees, fold back upon itself, lie flat when open and/or closed, and releasably cover personal, private, nonpublic, or other information, and/or cover and/or conceal printed and/or hand-written text, lettering, graphics, drawings, and/or marks on one or more sheets, pages, or pages, of a book.

A method of providing multiple reading skill level texts integrated into a same story. Each of the multiple reading skill level texts is assigned a unique visual identification of at least one of a different color, varying relative text size, varying relative typeface, capitalization, and bolded text. Each of the multiple reading skill level texts is an adapted version of the same story, with all reading skill levels arranged in a same paragraph of the same story, allowing a single book to be used with children whose ages range from infant to upper elementary school age and still maintaining age and skill appropriate content in the single book.
