Provided is a pneumatic tire having an innerliner member attached to a tire inner circumferential surface, the innerliner member constituted from at least three layers including a film having, as a main component, a thermoplastic resin or a thermoplastic elastomer composition containing a blend of a thermoplastic resin and an elastomer, and rubber sheets layered on both sides of the film, the tire including a lap splice portion in which tire circumferential direction end portions of the film are overlapped with the rubber sheets interposed therebetween. The rubber sheet on the tire cavity side of the innerliner member disposed on the tire cavity side in the lap splice portion is formed shorter along the tire circumferential length than an adjacent film.

Laminate, tire, and method for producing tire

The laminate according to the present invention includes a thermoplastic resin film-containing layer and a rubber layer, in which the rubber layer contains a modified diene polymer, and the rubber layer has a dynamic storage modulus E′ at −20° C. of 1.0×10.sup.5 to 1.0×10.sup.8 Pa. This laminate can improve the resistance to the fractures and the cracks of the inner liner.

Pneumatic tire production method

In a pneumatic tire production method including a step of overlapping end portions of a sheet laminate and vulcanization-molding the tire, the sheet laminate being obtained by layering an elastomer layer and a sheet of a thermoplastic resin composition containing a thermoplastic resin or a blend of a thermoplastic resin and an elastomer, after the end portions of the sheet laminate are overlapped, the overlapped portion of the sheet laminate is compression-bonded at a temperature of not less than a glass transition temperature Tg of the thermoplastic resin and not greater than 120° C.

In a method for manufacturing a pneumatic tire, a laminated body is formed of a film containing a thermoplastic resin or elastomer, and rubber sheets laminated on surfaces of the film. A winding starting end of the inner rubber sheet is on a side opposite to a winding direction of the laminated body with respect to an end of the film; an end of the outer rubber sheet at the winding starting end is at the same position as the end of the film or is positioned on a side of the winding direction of the laminated body with respect to the end of the film. An outer surface of the outer rubber sheet at the winding starting end and an inner surface of the inner rubber sheet of a winding finishing end are brought into contact by overlapping and bonding the winding starting end and the winding finishing end.
