Pneumatic tire
A tire includes a tread portion, a sidewall portion, and a bead portion. The bead portion includes a bead core that extends continuously in an annular shape in a tire circumferential direction, and a bead filler disposed adjacent to the bead core and outside the bead core in a tire radial direction. Reinforcing cords are provided in the bead portion and the sidewall portion so as to be curved such that inclination angles of the reinforcing cords with respect to the tire circumferential direction gradually increase with nearness to an outside in the tire radial direction.
SIDEWALL CONSTRUCTION FOR A TIRE
A bead portion of a tire includes: a bead portion including a core; a first filler arranged at the core; a carcass extending around the core and the first filler and radially inward adjacent an axially inner side of the core, the carcass further extending axially outward adjacent the core and radially outward adjacent the core; a second filler extending both axially and radially beyond the first filler, the second filler overlapping the first filler, an outermost end of the second filler being positioned radially outward from the first filler; a first chafer disposed at the second filler; a second chafer extended about the carcass; and a flipper extending radially inward from a position axially adjacent the first filler. The second filler is embedded at a convergence of the first chafer and a sidewall.
Tire having chafer structure for enhancing bead endurance
The present invention provides a tire having improved bead endurance in which cords of a steel chafer are waved and the advancing direction of the waves of the steel chafer is perpendicular to the advancing direction of carcass cords, thereby minimizing cracks at an edge of the carcass. The tire having a chafer structure for enhancing bead endurance includes: a carcass having carcass cords; and a steel chafer covering the carcass and having a plurality of waved chafer cords.

Tire with bead having specified bead filler and rigidifying reinforcement
Tire having two beads having an annular reinforcing structure and a carcass reinforcement anchored in the two beads by a turn-up. Each bead has a bead rubber filler extending a radial distance from the radially innermost point of the annular reinforcing structure of the bead. The radial distance is not more than 10% of the tire's radial height. A sidewall has rigidifying metal reinforcing elements oriented along an angle not more than 10 to the circumferential direction and positioned with the distance between the radially innermost point of the annular reinforcing structure and the radially outer end of the rigidifying reinforcement between 20% and 40%, inclusive, of the tire's radial height and with the distance between the radially innermost point of the annular reinforcing structure and the radially inner end of the rigidifying reinforcement not more than 20% of the tire's radial height.
