SLIDE BEARING AND STRUT-TYPE SUSPENSION
Provided are: a slide bearing configured so that degradation in sliding performance caused by the entry of dust, muddy water, etc. can be prevented at low cost; and a strut-type suspension using the slide bearing. A slide bearing (1) is provided with: an upper case (2); a lower case (3) joined to the upper case (2) in a pivotal manner and forming an annular space (5) between the upper case (2) and the lower case (3); and an annular center plate (4) disposed in the annular space (5). An annular lip (43) is formed integrally at the outer peripheral edge (423) of the flange (42) of the center plate (4). The lip (43) is in contact, while deflecting, with an annular protrusion (252) formed in an annular groove (24) in the upper case (2) and covers a thrust bearing surface (422) and a thrust supporting surface (251).
Top Mount Assembly With Bushing Having Integral Anti-Vibration Feature
A suspension mount assembly for coupling a first component and a second component of a vehicle comprises a housing including a bore and a first shoulder. The housing is adapted to be coupled to the first component of the vehicle. An elastomeric bushing includes a bore adapted to receive the second component of a vehicle. The elastomeric bushing includes a first portion, a spaced apart ring portion, and a web portion interconnecting the ring portion of the first portion. The ring portion, the web portion and the first portion are integrally formed with one another. A cap includes a peripheral portion having a second shoulder. The elastomeric bushing is positioned within the housing bore with the ring portion being engaged with the first shoulder. The first shoulder cooperates with the second shoulder to trap the ring portion between the housing and the cap and provide a seal and vibration isolator therebetween.
WHEEL MODULE
A wheel module is disclosed. The wheel module according to the present embodiment includes a knuckle configured to rotatably support a wheel, a steering device including an actuator configured to rotate the knuckle and steer the wheel, and a reinforcing structure provided between the knuckle and a vehicle body, wherein an output shaft of the actuator is disposed parallel to a vertical direction, the reinforcing structure includes a first end rotatably connected to the knuckle along a first axis parallel to the vertical direction and a second end connected to the vehicle body, and a rotation axis of the output shaft and the first axis are coaxially provided.
Electromechanical devices for controlling vehicle suspension settings
Electromechanical apparatuses for controlling vehicle suspension settings. Described herein are electromechanical apparatuses for controlling wheel alignment (e.g., camber, castor and/or toe). In particular, described herein are camber adjusting apparatuses for electromechanically adjusting camber or camber and toe that may be retrofitted onto existing vehicle suspensions.
REAR STRUT GUSSET PLATES FOR REINFORCING AN OFF-ROAD CHASSIS
An apparatus and methods are provided for a chassis for an off-road vehicle that includes a chassis strut support. The chassis is a welded-tube variety of chassis that includes a front portion and a rear portion that are joined to an intervening passenger cabin portion. The chassis strut support includes one or more pairs of rear strut gusset plates for distributing loading on a rear strut crossmember by rear struts to at least a seat crossmember comprising the chassis. The rear strut gusset plates generally comprise thick sheet-members configured to be attached to a vertical brace between an upper mount and a lower stay comprising the chassis to reinforce the vertical brace and impart increased strength to the chassis. The rear strut gusset plates are configured to be attached to the vertical brace by way of bolts, rivets, welding, or any combination thereof.
Strut mount
A strut mount includes an inner member, an outer member, and a body rubber. A stopper rubber which protrudes outward in an axial direction is disposed on the body rubber. The outer member includes a supporting portion which covers the stopper rubber from outside thereof in the axial direction. The stopper rubber includes a pedestal protrusion portion which protrudes outward in the axial direction from the inner member and a tip protrusion portion which protrudes outward in the axial direction from the pedestal protrusion portion, contacts the supporting portion, and has an elasticity in the axial direction lower than that of the pedestal protrusion portion. The pedestal protrusion portion and the tip protrusion portion taper outward in the axial direction.
Damper mount attachment structure and damper mount
A damper mount structure improves accuracy of positioning to increase assembling efficiency and includes a damper mount for fixing an upper portion of a suspension device to an attachment opening formed in a vehicle body. The damper mount includes: a housing to be mounted on the upper portion of the suspension device; a stay which protrudes from an outer circumferential surface of the housing and is brought in contact with a lower surface of a circumferential edge of the attachment opening in a state that the housing has been inserted through the attachment opening to attach the housing to the circumferential edge of the attachment opening; and a plurality of ribs which connect the stay with an outer circumferential surface of the housing. A first rib, a second rib, and a third rib include side surfaces, respectively, facing an inner circumferential surface of the attachment opening.
BEARING STRUCTURE COMPONENT
A bearing structure component for a vehicle bearing, having at least one through-opening for receiving a connecting element or a bearing which is made of foamed synthetic material, and the foamed synthetic material forms an integral foam structure. In an embodiment, at least one first local section of the integral foam structure has a wall thickness of greater than 4 mm.
VEHICLE STRUT INSULATOR
Disclosed is a vehicle strut insulator that includes first and second bushes (100 and 200) having different hardness characteristics. The first bush (100) having a relatively high hardness is disposed in a left-right direction of a vehicle that affects the handling performance, and the second bush (200) having a relatively low hardness is disposed in a forward-backward direction of the vehicle that affects the ride comfort. Accordingly, the vehicle strut insulator can satisfy both requirements for handling performance, ride comfort and road noise performance.
Strut bearing assembly for vehicle and manufacturing method thereof
A strut bearing assembly for a vehicle includes: an insulator coupled to a vehicle body; a first case disposed to face the insulator; a second case rotatably coupled to the first case; a friction reduction unit disposed between the first case and the second case, and configured to reduce friction between the first case and the second case; and a coupling unit disposed in the insulator and the first case, melted by heat, and coupling the insulator and the first case to each other.
