Method of manufacturing a hollow spring member
A method for manufacturing a hollow spring member having a hollow steel spring rod having terminal sealed portions at both ends thereof. Each terminal sealed portion has a rotationally symmetric shape in which an axis passing through a center of the spring rod is an axis of symmetry. Each terminal sealed portion has an end wall portion including an end face; an arc-shaped smoothly curved surface between an outer peripheral surface of the spring rod and the end face, and a hermetically closed distal-end-center closure portion on the axis passing through the center of the spring rod. The method includes forming each of the end portions of the spring rod by forming a chamfered portion on an inner or outer peripheral side of the end portion of a hollow wire, the end portion having an opening portion at a distal end, heating the end portion of the hollow wire having the chamfered portion, and spinning the heated end portion to be gathered toward the axis from the outer peripheral side by a jig. The end wall portion, which includes the distal-end-center closure portion, is formed by the distal end of the end portion being joined together on the axis.
VEHICLE SUSPENSION ARM
There is provided a suspension arm for a vehicle used in a suspension device of a vehicle. The suspension arm may include: a body portion constituting a basic body of the suspension arm; and a plurality of mounting portions configured to connect the suspension arm to a wheel-side member or a vehicle-body-side member. At least one of the plurality of mounting portions may be configured to include a bushing coupling portion and a fastening portion formed to extend from the bushing coupling portion to one side, such that the fastening portion may be coupled to a coupling portion provided on one side of the body portion in surface-contact with state.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING STABILIZER
A stabilizer manufacturing apparatus for manufacturing a stabilizer to which rubber bushes are heat-bonded is provided with a curing furnace in which high-frequency induction heating is performed, a conveyor for conveying the stabilizer in a conveying direction through the curing furnace, the rubber bushes being pressure-bonded to bonding locations on the stabilizer on which an adhesive layer is formed, power supply devices for supplying power to coils used in the high-frequency induction heating, and coils for generating a magnetic field in portions to be heated of the stabilizer near the bonding locations and for heating the portions to be heated; the coils being separated by a predetermined distance from the portions to be heated of a predetermined number of stabilizers conveyed in the conveying direction.
Suspension arm
A suspension arm includes an arm body having a longitudinal shape, a wheel-side attachment portion disposed at one end of the arm body, and a vehicle body-side attachment portion disposed at the other end of the arm body, and is mounted near a drive shaft to extend in a lateral direction of a vehicle, the arm body including an overlap portion that overlaps the drive shaft as viewed from a front in a longitudinal direction of a vehicle, a weak portion having lower strength than the overlap portion being provided between the overlap portion and the wheel-side attachment portion, the arm body having a hollow longitudinal shape, and portions on both sides of the weak portion being quenched by high frequency heating so as to have high strength, such that the weak portion is partially provided at an intermediate position between the overlap portion and the wheel-side attachment portion.
STABILIZER AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING STABILIZER
A stabilizer is a stabilizer including: a main body cylinder portion which is elastically deformable and a pair of connection plate portions respectively connected to a pair of left and right suspension devices, wherein the connection plate portion includes a pair of base material portions located on both sides in the connection plate portion in a plate thickness direction T and an alloy oxide region which is disposed between the pair of base material portions and in which alloy oxides are scattered, and wherein crystal grains constituting the pair of base material portions straddle the alloy oxide region in the plate thickness direction and the pair of base material portions are joined.
Bracket for vehicle stabilizer, vehicle stabilizer and method for manufacturing vehicle stabilizer
A bracket for a vehicle stabilizer is provided and includes an elastomer element for receiving a stabilizer spring, a first and a second bracket element. The first and the second bracket elements are connectable in such a way that the elastomer element is fixed between the first and the second bracket elements. A connection means for connecting the first and the second bracket elements is formed on the first and second bracket elements, the connection means has at least one connection pin and a connection recess. In a connection state of the first bracket element and of the second bracket element, the connection pin is inserted into the connection recess, and in the connection state the connection pin is frictionally fixed in the connection recess and/or the connection pin is riveted in the connection recess in a positive manner and/or the connection pin is cohesively fixed in the connection recess.
Silencer for leaf spring for commercial vehicle
A silencer for a leaf spring for a commercial vehicle is provided. The silencer includes an upper rubber body having defined therein a fitting hole into which a second leaf spring is press-fitted, with a top surface of the upper rubber body serving as a contact surface in contact with a first leaf spring, and a lower rubber body having defined therein an accommodation space, with a first buffering protrusion being provided on a bottom surface of the lower rubber body such that a third leaf spring is able to be in contact with the first buffering protrusion.
Hollow spring member and manufacturing method therefor
A terminal sealed portion is formed on an end portion of a hollow rod made of steel. An enclosed space is formed on an inner side of the hollow rod. At an end of the enclosed space, a terminal gap is formed. A volatile powdered rust inhibitor is supplied in the enclosed space. As the volatile powdered rust inhibitor is vaporized, the enclosed space is turned into a rust-inhibiting atmosphere. As the vaporized component of the volatile powdered rust inhibitor is adsorbed to an inner surface of the enclosed space, an inner surface rust-inhibiting film is formed. The vaporized component also enters inside the terminal gap, and forms a terminal rust-inhibiting film.
PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING A LEAF SPRING AND INSERT FOR LEAF SPRING
An insert to a mold for a leaf spring comprises a substrate and a hole that extends through the substrate, A post protrudes from the substrate such that the insert, may be coupled to the mold. Further, the post covers the hole on a first end, so the hole is not exposed. On the other end of the hole, a thin overlay that covers the hole. Thus, during a process where resin is added to the mold, no resin enters the hole. The insert, when added to a leaf spring, offers reinforcement on areas where there is high stress. Therefore, holes may be added to a leaf spring at areas of high stress without overly weakening the leaf spring.
