METHOD FOR OPERATING A MOVING DEVICE
A movable component of a motor vehicle, for example a tailgate can be moved between two end positions by a drive unit of a moving device. A release energy for the drive unit, which is to be used to release the component at the start of a movement from a starting position, is selected as a function of the starting position.
Liftgate cargo module
A liftgate cargo module having an integrated tailgate that unfolds from a hatch or liftgate of a vehicle that adds additional storage and provides a cargo load floor. When unfolded, there is an integrated pass through door formed in the hatch or liftgate permitting longer items to be hauled, while keeping the hatch or liftgate completely closed. The integrated tailgate includes an integrated tailgate taillight that indicates when the vehicle is braking or backing up. The integrated tailgate taillight also helps to show that the integrated tailgate is folded down from and extending from the hatch or liftgate of the vehicle. The integrated tailgate also includes integrated anchor points formed on the cargo load floor so items may be tied down and secured. POWERED DUAL CLOSURE SYSTEM FOR VEHICLES
A vehicle closure including a rotatable lift gate and a decklid that is rotatably connected to the liftgate. First and second electrically powered actuators provide powered opening and powered closing of the liftgate and the decklid, respectively. The first powered actuator locks to prevent movement of the liftgate when the second powered actuator is actuated, and the second powered actuator locks to prevent movement of the decklid when the first powered actuator is actuated.

A vehicle includes a body that defines an aperture. A closure panel is coupled to the body and is movable between open and closed positions. The closure panel covers the aperture when the closure panel is in the closed position. A support member has first and second ends. The first end is coupled to the body. The second end is coupled to the closure panel. The support member is operable between compressed and extended positions. The extended position corresponds with the open position. A panel assembly is coupled to an interior surface of the closure panel. The panel assembly includes a first, second, and third panels. The first and second panels are rotatably coupled to a mounting structure. The third panel is slidably coupled to the mounting structure. The first, second, and third panels are each movable between a stowed position and a deployed position.
Vehicle liftgate control for cargo management
Method and apparatus are disclosed for vehicle liftgate control for cargo management. An example vehicle includes a liftgate with a sensor on an inner surface and a processor. The liftgate provides access to a cargo area. The processor, when an object is in the cargo area, detect when the object is banked against the liftgate using measurements from the sensor, and when the object is banked and a command to open the liftgate is received, autonomously opens the liftgate to an intermediate position between fully open and fully closed.

The disclosure relates to a motor vehicle having at least one flap, which can be moved between an open and a closed position, an encodable locking device for locking the flap, an unlocking device for unlocking the encodable locking device, and at least one further access opening which is adapted to the size of a specific postal article and can be closed by at least one additional flap.
