VEHICLE HAVING A PIVOTABLE ROOF
A vehicle includes: a frame including a roll cage, a motor connected to the frame, a driver seat connected to the frame, and a roof extending at least in part above the driver seat. The roof includes an upper surface and a lower surface. At least part of the roof is pivotably connected to the roll cage about a roof pivot axis so that the at least part of the roof is pivotable from a closed position to an open position. In the closed position, the at least part of the roof covers a roof opening defined by the roll cage, and in the open position, the at least part of the roof at least partly exposes the roof opening.
Method of enhancing rain and sun protection using a rain and sun shield for golf carts
A method for enhancing the rain and sun protection of a golf cart roof using a rain and sun shield device. The rain and sun shield for a covered golf cart is semi-permanently attached to the roof of a golf cart. The device is easy to install; will retrofit to any standard golf cart roof; does not interfere with the parking and storing profile (i.e. are sized to fit within the perimeter of any standard golf cart roof when in the closed position) of a fleet of golf carts. The device is easily opened and closed to provide the golf cart user with added sun and rain protection when in use.
PICKUP CAMPER
A pickup camper is described. Embodiments of the pickup camper can include, but are not limited to, a camper body and a roof assembly. The camper body can include a front panel, a left-side panel, a right-side panel, a cross-member, and a back panel. The roof assembly can include a panel rotatably and removably coupled to the left-side panel, a panel rotatably and removably coupled to the right-side panel, a panel rotatably and removably coupled to the cross-member, and a roof panel rotatably and removably coupled to the front panel. In a travel configuration, the roof assembly components can be folded down on one another with the roof panel covering the other panels. In a deployed configuration, the roof assembly components can be rotated upwards to increase an overhead height inside the pickup camper.
POP-UP ROOF FOR MULTIPURPOSE VEHICLES
A pop-up roof, for multi-purpose vehicles such as camper vans and similar, includes components for increasing the climatic comfort of the additional interior compartment of the vehicle when the rigid top of the pop-up roof is in a raised operating position. A fixed frame following the shape of the opening of the vehicle roof includes a hollow structure defining an air duct with annular development. At least one air inlet in the duct connects with an air supply channel of the air conditioning system provided in the vehicle and a plurality of air diffusion vents distributed along the air duct, sending air towards the additional internal compartment.
POP-UP SHELTER SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR VEHICLES
An apparatus and method for implementing a vehicle sun and rain shield that converts to a pop-up sheltered compartment. The apparatus semi-permanently attaches to the roof of any vehicle. The device is easy to install and does not interfere with the parking and storage profile of the vehicle. The device is sized to fit within the perimeter of any vehicle roof when deployed. The device is easily opened and closed to provide added sun and rain protection. The device has movable panels that extend beyond the vehicle roof to provide sun and rain protection. The movable panels deflect in response to contact. The movable panels also lock in a position perpendicular with the plane of the roof to provide the pop-up sheltered compartment. The sheltered compartment is useful for storing items or providing temporary shelter for users.
Hinge system for hardtop vehicles
A hinge system for a vehicle hardtop having a system with hinges (1) that allow a user to open and close a set of removable rigid rooftop panels (5, 6) for a Jeep or other sport utility vehicle without being required to fully remove and store the rigid roof panels. The hinges may be capable of supporting a partially opened position to prevent the panels from falling and slamming shut while opening.
ROOF ASSEMBLY FOR A VEHICLE, AND VEHICLE COMPRISING SUCH ROOF ASSEMBLY
A roof assembly for attachment to reinforcement beams in a fixed roof of a vehicle comprises a frame surrounding at least a part of an opening and configured to be attached to at least the reinforcement beams of the vehicle. The frame is made primarily of plastic material. At least a first stationary panel is at least partly semi-transparent and is at least partly fixed to the frame. At least one movable panel is arranged adjacent the stationary panel. A reinforcement is integrated in the frame. The reinforcement extends at least around an area covered by the movable panel, and along at least a portion of the frame configured to be attached to the reinforcement beams of the vehicle.
Two-Stage Open Structure of Vehicle Door
A two-stage open structure of a vehicle door includes a first-stage door configured to be rotated open with respect to a first hinge, a second-stage door configured to be rotated open together with the first-stage door with respect to a second hinge, a cross member, and a motor module positioned on the cross member and configured to apply a driving force to the first hinge and the second hinge individually.
Motor vehicle having an interior accessible via a door opening
A motor vehicle has an interior which is accessible via a door opening which can be closed by a door and which can be enlarged from a driving position into a parking position by displacing a vehicle roof region delimiting the door opening. The vehicle roof region can be moved along as part of the at least substantially entire vehicle roof which can be displaced between the driving position and the parking position relative to a lower vehicle body part. The door is mounted on the displaceable vehicle roof.
Magnetic header design
A vehicle arrangement is provided including a vehicle body having at least a partially open top and transverse window with a ferromagnetic frame, a flexible membrane sunscreen cover for at least a portion of the vehicle. A magnetic member connected with the sunscreen cover holds an end of the cover with the window frame.
