A transmission (2) of a motor vehicle includes a first sub-transmission (5) including a first input shaft (7) and a countershaft (11) coupled to the first input shaft (7) via a constant ratio (ic). The transmission (2) further includes a second sub-transmission (6) including a second input shaft (8), the second sub-transmission (6) being a planetary transmission (PG) with a sun gear (24), a ring gear (22), and a carrier (23). Moreover, the transmission (2) includes an output shaft (9), and a shift element (E). The carrier (23) is coupleable to the output shaft (9) via the shift element (E), and the ring gear (22) is the second input shaft (8) of the second sub-transmission (6).

A hybrid sub-assembly for driving a vehicle includes at least one primary shaft, at least one secondary shaft, a transmission gearbox including at least one intermediate shaft different from the primary shaft and the secondary shaft, and an electromotive unit. The electromotive unit includes at least one reversible electric machine, and a coupling device that can take up at least one intermediate coupling position in which an output shaft of the reversible electric machine is kinematically connected to the intermediate shaft, and a secondary coupling position in which an output shaft of the reversible electric machine is kinematically connected to the secondary shaft without going via the intermediate shaft.

Transmission and drive system of a motor vehicle
A transmission (2) of a motor vehicle includes a first input shaft (7) for a first prime mover (3), a second input shaft (8) for a second prime mover (4), and an output shaft (9). A first sub-transmission (5) includes the first input shaft and a countershaft (11) coupled to the first input shaft (7) via a constant ratio. Gearwheels (16, 17, 18) are arranged on the countershaft, which mesh exclusively into gearwheels (12, 13, 15) arranged coaxially to the first input shaft (7). At least some of these gearwheels mesh into gearwheels (20, 21) arranged on the output shaft (9). Shift elements (A, B, C, D) are associated with the first input shaft (7) as well as with the countershaft (11), which provide either a gear with a first number of instances of gearwheel meshing or a winding-path gear with a second number of instances of gearwheel meshing. A second sub-transmission (6) includes the second input shaft (8), which is designed as a planetary transmission. A ring gear (22) forms the second input shaft (8), and a carrier (23) is coupled to the output shaft (9) via a gearwheel (14) arranged coaxially to the first input shaft (7). Shift elements (F, E) are associated with the planetary transmission, via which a sun gear (24) is fixedly connectable to the housing or the planetary transmission is bringable into direct drive. A sub-transmission coupling of the sub-transmissions is providable via one of the shift elements (A) associated with the countershaft.
Hybrid power Train
The present invention provides a hybrid powertrain comprising an internal combustion engine (ICE), a transmission (2), a first electric motor (4a) and a second electric motor (4b), wherein the transmission comprises an input shaft (1) to which the ICE is connected via a main clutch (3), an output shaft (6) and a gear assembly providing at least two different gear ratios that may be selected for transfer of mechanical power from the input shaft (1) to the output shaft (6), the first electric motor (4a) is connected to the input shaft (1) via a first gear (i.sub.x), such that torque and rotation may be transferred between the first electric motor and the input shaft, and the second electric motor (4b) is connected to the input shaft (1) via a first clutch (5a) and the first gear (i.sub.x), such that torque and rotation may be transferred between the second electric motor (4b) and the input shaft (1), and connected to the output shaft (6) via a second clutch (5b) and a second gear (i.sub.y), such that torque and rotation may be transferred between the second electric motor (4b) and the output shaft (6), wherein the first electric motor (4a) is connected to the second electric motor (4b) via the first clutch (5a), and the first electric motor (4a), the second electric motor (4b), the first clutch (5a) and the second clutch (5b) form parts of a torque transfer path bypassing the at least two different gear ratios, the torque transfer path arranged to transfer torque from the input shaft (1) to the output shaft (6) during a gearshift.
Hybrid Transmission Arrangement and Hybrid Drive Train
A hybrid transmission arrangement (10) for a motor vehicle (30) includes a transmission (11), a third planetary gear set (PS3), and a first electric machine (EM1). The transmission (11) includes a first input (14), which is connectable to an internal combustion engine (VM), a second output (22), a third output (23), and at least one planetary gear set (PS1, PS2). The third planetary gear set (PS3) includes a first element (S3;H3′), a second element (H3;S3′), and a third element (P3;P3′). The third planetary gear set (PS3) is interlockable using a first shift element (E) and arranged coaxially to a first axis (A1). The first element (S3;H3′) is connected to the first electric machine. The second element (H3;S3′) is connected to the second output (22) of the transmission (11). The third output (23) of the transmission (11) is connected to the first element (S3;H3′). The third element (P3;P3′) is connected to a drive output (Ab) of the hybrid transmission arrangement (10).
MULTI-SPEED HYBRID TRANSMISSION AND TRANSMISSION OPERATING METHOD
A hybrid transmission system with a multi-speed gearbox. The multi-speed gearbox, in one example, includes a first primary shaft with a first set of gears positioned thereon and selectively coupled to an internal combustion engine (ICE) at a first end and a second primary shaft with a second set of gears positioned thereon. The gearbox further includes a secondary shaft with a third set of gears that mesh with the first set of gear and the second set of gears and an electric drive interface gear that is idly mounted, free to spin, on the second primary shaft, positioned between two gears in the second set of gears, and configured to receive mechanical power from an electric machine and an output shaft that is configured to mechanically attached to a differential.
MULTI-SPEED HYBRID TRANSMISSION AND TRANSMISSION OPERATING METHOD
A hybrid transmission system with a multi-speed gearbox. The multi-speed gearbox is configured to rotationally couple a prime mover and an electric machine to different gear ratios during a hybrid drive mode. The multi-speed gearbox includes an electric drive interface gear positioned coaxial to a first primary shaft and a second primary shaft and idly mounted, free to spin, to the second primary shaft and an output shaft that includes an output shaft gear which is fixedly coupled thereto meshes with a gear on a secondary shaft.
MULTI-SPEED HYBRID TRANSMISSION AND TRANSMISSION OPERATING METHOD
A transmission system is that includes a multi-speed gearbox. The multi-speed gearbox, in one example, includes a dual-clutch assembly configured to selectively engage a primary shaft and/or a second primary shaft and an electric drive clutch configured to selectively engage an electric drive interface gear, wherein the electric drive interface gear is positioned axially between two gears on the first or second primary shafts. The transmission system further includes a controller including instructions that when executed, during a first operating condition, cause the controller to operate the dual-clutch assembly to transfer mechanical power between an internal combustion engine (ICE) and the first primary shaft or the second primary shaft or operate the electric drive clutch to transfer mechanical power between an electric machine and the first primary shaft, the second primary shaft, or a secondary shaft.

A hybrid electric/combustion propulsion/electric generator apparatus comprising: a driven shaft mating mechanism; a hub mating mechanism; an electric machine operable as an electric motor or generator, comprising a rotor comprising a drum; a clutch mechanism, comprising first and second mating mechanisms, axially slidable and engaged with the drum/rotor; and a selection mechanism for sliding the clutch mechanism into a start position (wherein the electric motor can rotate the centrifugal clutch to rotate the driving shaft), a neutral position (wherein rotation of the drum/rotor operates the electric machine as the generator), or a drive position, wherein the apparatus is operable in either a pure electric drive mode (electric motor drives the driven shaft clockwise or counter clockwise while the centrifugal clutch is disengaged), or a hybrid drive mode (engine and electric motor drive the driven shaft) or a propulsion/generation mode (engine drives the driven shaft and generator produces electricity).
