Projection display device and control method for the same
A projection display device includes an image data control unit that controls image data to be input to a light modulation unit, and a situation determination unit that determines, in a state where an automated driving mode is set, whether or not a situation has occurred where an operation device mounted in a vehicle and used for driving needs to be operated. When it is determined that the situation has occurred where the operation device needs to be operated, the image data control unit inputs, to a driving unit, first image data for displaying images corresponding to a plurality of operation devices in a positional relationship corresponding to an arrangement of the plurality of operation devices and displaying, in an emphasized manner, the image corresponding to the operation device that needs to be operated, and displays an operation assisting image that is based on the first image data.
Vehicle display device
A vehicle display device includes a display unit having a pointer, a dial plate as a background of the pointer, and a frame surrounding the dial plate, at least one of the pointer, the dial plate, and the frame being a physical element, and a virtual image display device that displays a virtual image overlapping with the physical element, in which the virtual image display device changes at least one of a color and a design of the virtual image overlapping with the physical element.
Steering grip light bar systems
Various implementations include a light bar system for a steering wheel of a vehicle that includes a high intensity light source, a light diffusing layer, and an outer lens. For example, in certain implementations, the light diffusing layer is disposed between a plurality of high intensity light emitting diodes (LEDs) and an outer lens, and the light diffusing layer causes the light from the LEDs to appear as a continuous stream of light across a length of the lens and provides sufficiently bright lighting to warn or communicate with the driver in various ambient lighting conditions. In certain implementations, the outer lens is colored to blend in with the rest of the steering wheel when the LEDs are not activated.
Vehicle display device
A vehicle display device includes a tubular member disposed such that an opening edge thereof faces a driver side, a projection unit that projects light toward an inner space of the tubular member, a semitransparent mirror that is disposed in the inner space of the tubular member and reflects light projected from the projection unit toward the driver side to cause a virtual image to be displayed, an image display unit that is disposed on a side opposite to the driver side with respect to the semitransparent mirror in the tubular member and displays an image, and a design unit that is disposed between the image display unit and the semitransparent mirror in the inner space of the tubular member and has a stereoscopic shape.

The disclosure relates to a method for displaying safety-relevant information on a display device of a vehicle. A speed of the vehicle, environment data representing an environment of the vehicle, a driver reaction time, and an emergency braking reaction time for an emergency braking driver assistance function are input, and used to superimpose an emergency braking marker and a driver intervention marker on the map representing a lane in which the vehicle is travelling in the display device. The emergency braking marker represents a future point in time and/or future location for an intervention of the emergency braking driver assistance function, and the driver intervention marker represents a future point in time and/or a future location for the latest possible intervention of the driver prior to the intervention of the emergency braking driver assistance function.

Wide color-gamut vehicle infotainment display system
The various embodiments set forth a display device that includes a liquid crystal module, a nano-particle semiconductor material, and a light source that includes a blue light-emitting diode configured to generate a blue output light. The nano-particle semiconductor material is configured to receive the blue output light, convert a first portion of the blue output light to a green light emission, convert a second portion of the blue output light to a red light emission, and transmit a remainder portion of the blue output light. The liquid crystal module is configured to receive the green light emission, the red light emission, and the remainder portion of the blue output light and generate an image that includes a portion of the green light emission, a portion of the red light emission, and a portion of the remainder portion of the blue output light.
