A seat with a headrest for a locomotive means includes a carrier or support system for a backrest of the seat, a support element having an installation section, and a guide device. The headrest has a headrest box, wherein the installation section of the support element is arranged on the support system in a stationary manner in the region of the headrest. The headrest box is movably arranged on the guide device, and the headrest box can be locked relative to the guide device in a movement direction.

A headrest (1) for a vehicle includes a main element (2) on which a wing element (3) is mounted by means of a hinge (4) so as to be rotatable about a substantially vertical axis. So as to create a frictional locking function, the hinge (4) includes a shaft (41) with a projection (43) as well as a bush (42) with a receptacle (44) that is associated with the projection (43). The shaft (41) is mounted in the bush (42), and in a locked position the projection (43) engages into the receptacle (44).

A seat back assembly and method of manufacture is provided. The seat back includes a foam cushion layer. A support sub-assembly is formed including a rigid support layer with a plurality of cavities and channels defined on a rear surface for receiving components and a generally smooth front surface. At least one component is retained in one of the cavities and a second component is secured on the front surface of the support layer. A trim material covers the cushion layer and secures the sub-assembly to the seat back.

A device for adjusting a position of a headrest for a vehicle includes: a stay mounted on a seatback frame; a main frame including a rotation guide hole, inserted into and mounted on the stay, and configured to ascend or descend along the stay; an elevation device mounted on the main frame and the stay, and configured to allow the main frame to ascend or descend along the stay; a rotating frame including a first end portion inserted into the stay and configured to ascend or descend along the stay, and a second end portion extending toward the rotation guide hole of the main frame; a rotating device mounted on the rotating frame and the rotation guide hole of the main frame, and configured to rotate the rotating frame along the rotation guide hole; and a headrest frame assembled to the rotating frame.

A passenger protecting device including: an airbag device including an airbag that receives a supply of gas from an inflator and is inflated and expanded, by a front expanding portion that includes a front inflating portion to be inflated and expanded at a seat front side of the head portion and at least one of a chest portion and shoulder portions of the passenger, and a pair of left and right lateral expanding portions that include lateral inflating portions that are connected to the front expanding portion and are inflated and expanded at sides of the head portion of the passenger; and a position changing device that changes an inflated and expanded position of the airbag in a seat transverse direction, in accordance with a direction of collision of a collision body with respect to the vehicle seat.

A device for adjusting a position of a headrest for a vehicle includes: a stay mounted on a seatback frame; a main frame including a rotation guide hole, inserted into and mounted on the stay, and configured to ascend or descend along the stay; an elevation device mounted on the main frame and the stay, and configured to allow the main frame to ascend or descend along the stay; a rotating frame including a first end portion inserted into the stay and configured to ascend or descend along the stay, and a second end portion extending toward the rotation guide hole of the main frame; a rotating device mounted on the rotating frame and the rotation guide hole of the main frame, and configured to rotate the rotating frame along the rotation guide hole; and a headrest frame assembled to the rotating frame.

A headrest assembly for use in a vehicle seat. The headrest assembly includes one or more support arms that are connected to a seatback frame. An adjustable connection assembly connects at least a portion of the one or more support arms to at least a portion of the headrest body. The adjustable connection assembly allows the head rest body to move in a forward and rearward direction, to move in an up and down direction, and/or to pivot relative to the seatback frame of the vehicle seat.

A system may include an adjustable headrest assembly. The adjustable headrest assembly may include a headrest center bracket, a left vertical side plate track, a left headrest side plate assembly including a left headrest side plate, a right vertical side plate track, and a right headrest side plate assembly including a right headrest side plate. The left headrest side plate may be configured to move up and down relative to the left vertical side plate track based on the engagement of the left headrest side plate assembly with the left vertical side plate track. A system may include an adjustable headrest assembly. The adjustable headrest assembly may include a headrest center bracket, a left vertical side plate track, a left headrest side plate assembly including a left headrest side plate, a right vertical side plate track, and a right headrest side plate assembly including a right headrest side plate. The left headrest side plate may be configured to move up and down relative to the left vertical side plate track based on the engagement of the left headrest side plate assembly with the left vertical side plate track. The right headrest side plate may be configured to move up and down relative to the right vertical side plate track based on the engagement of the right headrest side plate assembly with the right vertical side plate track.

The invention relates to a motor vehicle seat for motor vehicles comprising an adjustment device for a backrest head adjustment, the motor vehicle seat having a backrest, which has a backrest frame as the first component of the backrest head adjustment and a backrest head as the second component of the backrest head adjustment, and an actuator. The backrest head is pivotably connected to the backrest frame and the actuator has a driving element and a movable element, the actuator being connected to the backrest frame and the backrest head and it being possible to carry out a linear movement by means of the actuator. The driving element of the actuator is rigidly connected to the backrest frame or backrest head and the movable element of the actuator has a guide element which engages in a guide arranged on the backrest frame or backrest head.
