Method and apparatus for vehicular light fixtures
A lighting device is provided for controlling the photometric distribution of light emitted by two or more LEDs. The lighting device may be integrated with a control system of the vehicle and may be controlled by a remote controller. The lighting device may be capable of being operated in one or more modes of operation based on operating conditions, user input, or both. Operating conditions may include vehicle conditions, environmental conditions, and user conditions. The controller may operate a software application to enable the user to modify, control, or otherwise regulate any mode of operation or other feature of the lighting system.
Mount base, mounting unit, operating device, and moving vehicle
A mount base includes: a base body having an insert hole to pass the steering shaft therethrough and holding the operating member thereon; a hook insertable into a fixing hole of the column; and an insert space located opposite from the insert hole with respect to the hook. The hook comes into contact with a locking member inserted into the insert space to have its movement regulated in a direction in which the hook disengages itself from the fixing hole. A mounting unit includes the mount base and the locking member. An operating device includes the mounting unit and the operating member. A moving vehicle includes the operating device, a steering shaft, and the column.
INPUT DEVICE, MOVABLE BODY, AND STEERING SHAFT SYSTEM
An input device includes: a casing that includes a tubular portion in which an end portion of a column post is fitted, and to which a turn lever unit that a driver operates is attached, the column post rotatably supporting a steering shaft; and a biasing member disposed between a brim portion and the column post in a central axis direction of the tubular portion, the brim portion being provided on an inside surface of the tubular portion. The tubular portion includes an engaging portion that engages, in the central axis direction, with an engaged portion of the column post, and in a state in which the engaging portion is engaging with the engaged portion, the biasing member biases the brim portion in a direction in which the brim portion moves away from the column post, the direction being in the central axis direction.
DEVICE FOR CONTROLLING AN AUXILIARY LIGHT MOUNTED TO A VEHICLE
Control device for controlling an auxiliary light mounted to a vehicle having a first manually operable user input device (not shown) operable to cause generating a first signal and a second signal. The control device includes: at least two inputs including a first input configured to receive the first signal, and a second input configured to receive the second signal; an output configured to operably couple to the light to provide a control signal to cause the driving light to illuminate; and a logic circuit coupling each input to the output. The logic circuit includes a nonmechanical electronic switch operable to generate the control signal and provide the control signal to the output. The logic circuit operates the switch to generate the control signal responsive to the first input receiving the first signal, and the second input receiving the second signal.
INTEGRATED MANIPULATION APPARATUS FOR AUTONOMOUS VEHICLES AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF
An integrated manipulation apparatus for autonomous vehicles and a control method are provided. When a driving mode is switched from an autonomous driving mode to a manual driving mode, a user manipulates the integrated manipulation apparatus, which is portable, to perform chassis functions, such as steering, speed change, acceleration, and braking of a vehicle, and to perform general functions, such as lamp on/off, honking, and turn indication, as needed. A steering dial switch and a speed change slide switch are different in manipulation manner from an acceleration button switch and a braking button switch.
Multifunctional selection operation switch apparatus
A multifunctional selection operation switch apparatus includes: an operation member including multiple operated portions and capable of being rotationally operated, the operated portions being capable of selective contact operation; a rotational displacement detecting device capable of detecting rotational displacement of the operation member; an operation target detecting device capable of detecting on which of the operated portions contact operation is performed; and a controlling device outputting a command signal corresponding to the displacement and the one operated portion, based on detection results of the detecting devices. Accordingly, even if the operation member is a single member, multifunctional selection operation can be performed without difficulty by outputting, whenever necessary, a desired command from multiple operation commands. It is not necessary to mechanically and operatively connect the operation member and the operated portions by a structurally-complicated interlocking mechanism, thereby achieving reduction in the number of parts and cost.
Transient current peak limiter for variations in LED loads
A device and a method for driving the supply of power to a plurality of light sources that is made up of a first group of light sources comprising at least one light source, which first group of light sources is connected in series with at least one second group of light sources comprising at least one light source. The device comprises a supply circuit to which the plurality of light sources is connected as a load. According to the inventive measures, it becomes possible to short at least one of the groups of light sources without causing high intensity transient current peaks in the light sources that are not shorted.
