An article of clothing includes user-protection circuitry, integrated into the article of clothing. The user-protection circuitry includes condition-detection circuitry, which, in operation, generates one or more indications related to an environment of the article of clothing. The user-protection circuitry also includes broadcast circuitry including at least one pulsing device, and control circuitry. The control circuitry, in operation, activates the broadcast circuitry based on the one or more indications related to the environment of the article of clothing generated by the condition-detection circuitry.

A road surface drawing system includes a road surface drawing lamp that is provided in a vehicle and illuminates a road surface with a beam, and a controller that controls the road surface drawing lamp and draws, with a beam BM, a pattern PTN on the road surface ahead of the vehicle. The controller draws a pattern PTN instructing the vehicle to stop if a signal state of an upcoming traffic signal is a red light.

A vehicle lighting device includes: a first optical system including a light source and a first lens; a second optical system including a light source and a second lens; and a housing configured to house the first optical system and the second optical system. The first optical system is configured to illuminate an interior of a vehicle. The second optical system is configured to display predetermined information to the outside of the vehicle.

A communication support device in a vehicle, which has left and right round lights in a front end part of the vehicle, includes: left and right notification devices having ring-shaped light-emitting parts with changeable light-emitting regions while surrounding the left and right round lights respectively when viewed from a front; and a control device controlling light emission of the ring-shaped light-emitting part so that the light-emitting region of the ring-shaped light-emitting part changes according to an operating state of the vehicle. A vehicle communication system installed in a vehicle includes: a lamp for illumination, a display or signal; a display that is configured by a planar light emitter and has an information display function; and a control unit that is capable of controlling turning-on of the lamp and of the display. The control unit is configured to control the lamp and the display in a linked manner, and present vehicle information indicating a condition of the vehicle by combining light emission of the lamp with information display of the display.

Aspects of the disclosure provide for displaying notifications on a display of an autonomous vehicle 100. In one instance, a distance from the vehicle to a destination of the vehicle or a passenger may be determined. When the distance is between a first distance and a second distance, a first notification 650 may be displayed on the display. The second distance may be less than the first distance. When the distance is less than the second distance, a second notification 660 may be displayed on the display. The second notification provides additional information not provided by the first notification.
