The control method includes: detecting target objects in front of a vehicle; determining whether the target objects are on a traveling path of the vehicle; and performing light control for avoidance for the target objects based on a determination result in a predetermined manner. With this setting, a strategy of light control for avoidance for a target object can be made by learning a traveling path of the target object, such that impact on traveling safety of the present vehicle, traveling safety of vehicles ahead for which light is controlled for avoidance, and/or safety, walking experience, etc. of the pedestrians for whom light is controlled for avoidance are/is kept as little as possible.
Vehicle headlight for improving visibility during operation
Disclosed herein is a vehicle headlight for improving visibility during operation. In the vehicle headlight, a filtering film capable of preventing glare and reducing a discomfort glare phenomenon by controlling scotopic vision (S)/photopic vision (P) ratio in such a manner as to selectively absorb/block blue light in light emitted from an LED module is adhered, thereby improving visibility during operation.

A vehicle-lamp control device includes a control unit that adjusts an optical axis with respect to a change in a total angle that includes a road surface angle and a vehicle attitude angle while the vehicle is at rest, and maintains the optical axis with respect to a change in the total angle while the vehicle is traveling. The control unit fixes the optical axis angle when a fault state of the control device is detected. Upon the control device having recovered from a fault state, the control unit generates an adjustment signal either upon estimating a current vehicle attitude angle on the basis of an output value from the tilt sensor obtained while the vehicle is traveling, or upon receiving a signal indicating a current vehicle attitude angle from an external device.
Adaptive headlight system
A motor vehicle includes headlamps having a plurality of LED light sources, one or more processors, and a memory storing instructions. One or more processors executing the instructions are enabled to receive first data, including at least map data, indicating a road curvature upcoming along a road on which the motor vehicle is traveling. The processors are also enabled to determine a light change, the change adapting a light pattern of the headlamps in at least one of color, intensity or spatial distribution to increase light in a direction of the road curvature ahead of the motor vehicle and shaping light based at least in part on the road curvature. The processors are further enabled to control at least a first plurality of the LED light sources to provide light based at least in part on the determined light change and prior to the motor vehicle reaching the road curvature.

An alerting system to be applied to a vehicle configured to execute driving assistance control based on a recognition result from a recognition sensor includes: one or more memories configured to store blind area information indicating a blind area around a recognition range recognized by the recognition sensor; and one or more processors configured to acquire a vehicle condition including at least one of a vehicle speed, or a door open or closed state of the vehicle, start a rendering process for rendering the blind area on a road surface around the vehicle in response to satisfaction of a start condition by the vehicle condition, and execute the rendering process by using a light emitting device.
