A force limiting device (10) for a seat belt comprises a fitting (14), a tension transfer means (36) and a deformation member (12) directly abutting on the fitting (14), wherein the fitting (14, 114) comprises a deflection unit (20, 120) in the form of a deflection pulley for the tension transfer means (36, 136).

Safety belt device for a vehicle
11021131 · 2021-06-01 · ·

A safety belt arrangement for a vehicle, with a belt force limiting unit which is constructed as a piston/cylinder assembly having a piston tube and a piston, which in the event of the belt force being limited is displaceable by a force limiting path in the piston tube, while expanding and plastically deforming the latter, whereby the belt force exerted on a vehicle occupant is limited to a predefined level of force. According to the invention, at least one tube element, which can be pushed telescopically onto the piston tube to form a double tube structure, is provided for setting the force level course over the force limiting path.

Energy absorption for D-ring attachment bracket

A vehicle D-ring attachment bracket assembly includes a vehicle D-ring attachment bracket having a first mounting hole, a second mounting hole, and a D-ring bolt hole positioned between the first and second mounting holes. The assembly also includes a first energy absorber attached to the attachment bracket. The first energy absorber includes a first energy absorber first hole positioned coaxially or substantially coaxially with the bracket first mounting hole, and a first energy absorber second hole positioned coaxially or substantially coaxially with the bracket second mounting hole.

SEATBELT WEBBING INCLUDING AUXETIC PORTION

A seatbelt webbing includes an auxetic portion elongated along an axis. The auxetic portion includes a plurality of segments rotatably connected to each other at hinges. The hinges are spaced along the axis and are transverse to the axis. The auxetic portion includes a plurality of strands. Each strand is embedded in at least two of the hinges. When tensile force above a predetermined level is applied to the auxetic portion by a vehicle occupant, e.g., the chest of the vehicle occupant, the auxetic portion both stretches along the axis and widens transverse to the axis, i.e., has a negative Poisson ratio.

Vehicle seatbelt assembly

A vehicle seatbelt assembly includes a load limiter having a seatbelt attachment portion and a seatbelt tension control mechanism that is configured to increase the length of a shoulder portion of a seatbelt in response to rapid or sudden deceleration of a vehicle, thereby reducing a level of tension experience by a seatbelt.

Safety belt retractor, a vehicle safety belt and a vehicle

A safety belt retractor, a vehicle safety belt with the safety belt retractor and a vehicle with the vehicle safety belt are provided. The safety belt retractor is provided, on an end segment thereof, with a pre-tensioning, force-limiting and decoupling device that comprises a safety belt reel (1), a driving element (2), a sleeve (3) and an energy absorbing disc (4). The safety belt reel (1) is provided with a first recess (10) and a second recess. A first helical surface (9) is arranged in the first recess (10), and the driving element (2) is provided with a first projection (21) having a second helical surface acting together with the first helical surface (9). The sleeve (3) is provided with a second projection (31) mounted in the second recess. Under a predetermined load, the second projection (31) is cut off, such that the energy absorbing disc (4) is plastically deformed due to squeezing. The safety belt retractor achieves on the same end segment, the pre-tensioning, force-limiting and decoupling functions as well as a compact structure.

DAMPED SHOCK-ABSORBING SEAT

A damping member (1) which has at least two engagement points (2), wherein the damping member (1) has an absorption means, wherein fastening elements (3) are arranged on the damping member (1), and wherein an additional absorption means (4) is provided which brings about shock absorption together with the absorption means.

SEAT BELT DEVICE FOR A VEHICLE SEAT
20200384945 · 2020-12-10 · ·

A seat belt device for a vehicle seat, having a seat belt, the belt tongue of which in an engaged state is releasably connected to a seat-side belt buckle. The belt buckle is guided via at least one wire rope through a sleeve-like deflection element, which defines the course of the wire rope between its connection point on the seat side and its connection point on the belt buckle side. The sleeve-like deflection element has a predetermined deformation point, at which the deflection element is deformed in the event of a head-on collision, more specifically with the belt buckle being displaced from its use position into a crash position in which the tilt or twist moments acting on the belt buckle are reduced.
