A side wall for a rail vehicle body includes an outer skin, an insulating layer adjacent an inner face of the outer skin, a structural layer adjacent an inner face of the insulating layer, a finishing layer adjacent an inner face of the structural layer and a window. The insulating layer provides at least one of a thermal and an acoustical insulation. The structural layer has a longitudinally aligned top door frame member, vertical left and right door frame members and a plurality of diagonal structural members oriented at an angle comprised between 1 degree and 89 degrees from the top door frame member. The plurality of diagonal structural members defines a lattice structure having a plurality of openings there in between. The window covers at least a portion of one of the plurality of openings.
Sound insulating material, sound insulating plate and partition structure of train carriage
A sound insulating material, a sound insulating plate, and a partition structure of a train carriage are provided. The sound insulating material comprises the following components in weight ratio: 2-8 parts of tricalcium silicate; 4-10 parts of calcium hydroxide; 10-30 parts of aluminosilicate; 4-10 parts of alumina; 5-15 parts of iron oxide; 10-30 parts of a binder; and 5-10 parts of a curing agent, wherein the binder is at least two of lithium silicate, sodium silicate and calcium silicate; the curing agent is at least one of lithium oxide, magnesium oxide and silica; and the mixture of the aluminosilicate, alumina and iron oxide expands at 1000° C.-1350 ° C. to form particles. The sound insulating plate made of this material is lightweight and has a sound insulation capacity of 35-42 dB.
Noise-absorbent and odor-adsorbent fabric cover systems for vehicle interiors
The present disclosure provides cover systems for covering components of a cabin interior of a vehicle, such as an automobile, a train car, a bus, a boat, or an aircraft, among others. For instance, the cover systems may cover one or more of a seat and a floor, among others, of the cabin interior. The fabric cover systems may absorb or partially absorb one or more of low-frequency sounds, such as low-frequency noise emitted by an engine, and high-frequency sounds, among others. The fabric cover systems may absorb or partially absorb odor molecules. The fabric covering systems may include multiple layers. For instance, one of the layers may include activated carbon fibers. The activated carbon fibers may absorb or partially absorb one or more of sounds, liquids, and odors, among others.
Articulated vehicle having a passage with a noise insulating layer
The invention relates to an articulated vehicle including a plurality of vehicles or vehicle parts connected to one another in an articulated manner, a passage arranged between adjacent ones of the vehicles or the vehicle parts, the passage having an inner lining and an outer lining laterally spaced from the inner lining so as to define an empty cavity therebetween, one front wall on each side of the passage between the two adjacent vehicles or vehicle parts, the inner lining and the outer lining being arranged at the front walls of the two adjacent vehicles or vehicle parts while forming the empty cavity therebetween, a noise-absorbing noise insulation layer applied to a free surface on each of the front walls in the empty cavity between the inner and outer lining, wherein each of the noise-absorbing noise insulation layer extends into the empty cavity and terminates at a surface facing opposite to the each of the front walls respectively.

A carbody of a railcar includes an underframe, a side bodyshell, and a roof bodyshell. At least one of the underframe, the side bodyshell, and the roof bodyshell includes: an outer plate portion facing a car outside; and a reinforced portion joined to an inside surface of the outer plate portion and forming at least one internal space between the reinforced portion and the outer plate portion. At least one sound absorbing hole communicating with the internal space is formed on the outer plate portion.

A sound insulating material, a sound insulating plate, and a partition structure of a train carriage are provided. The invention relates to an articulated vehicle, for example a rail vehicle or an articulated bus, formed from a plurality of vehicles or vehicle parts (2, 3) connected to one another in an articulated manner, wherein a passage (10) is arranged between the vehicles or vehicle parts (2, 3), wherein the passage has an inner cladding (12) and an outer cladding (14) laterally spaced apart from the inner cladding, wherein the inner (12) and outer cladding (14) are arranged so as to form the spacing (A) relative to one another on the end walls of two adjacent vehicles or vehicle parts, wherein a sound insulation layer (18) can be applied to the free surface (16) formed by the spacing (A) on the end wall.

At least one of the underframe, the side bodyshell, and the roof bodyshell includes: an outer plate portion facing a car outside; and a reinforced portion joined to an inside surface of the outer plate portion and forming at least one internal space between the reinforced portion and the outer plate portion. At least one sound absorbing hole communicating with the internal space is formed on the outer plate portion.
