Device for attaching a first sub-assembly to a second sub-assembly in an automobile
An attachment device (1) includes: a female member (25); a male member (29) which is capable of insertion into the inner cavity (27) of the female member (25) in an insertion direction; a blocking member (31) which is movable relative to the female member (25), inside the inner cavity (27), between a rest position and an operative position for blocking the male member (29) relative to the female member (25). The attachment device does not have an actuator capable of moving the blocking member (31) from its rest position to its operative position, the blocking member (31) being movable from its rest position to its operative position by an actuator arranged outside the inner cavity (27).
SET OF DASHBOARD CROSSBEAM ASSEMBLIES FOR A VEHICLE
A set of dashboard crossbeam assemblies for a vehicle includes a first and a second dashboard crossbeam assemblies for the vehicle, each dashboard crossbeam assembly having a crossbeam, whereof at least one first longitudinal portion is made of a plastic-containing material and comprises a plurality of first fastening interfaces of fastening tabs. The first and second dashboard crossbeam assemblies are different, the first longitudinal crossbeam portions of the first and second dashboard crossbeam assemblies being identical.
Curtain airbag device mounting structure and curtain airbag deployment method
A curtain airbag device mounting structure includes: a first pillar forming a part of a front pillar and extends substantially along a vehicle height direction; a second pillar forming another part of the front pillar, the second pillar being disposed on a rear side of a vehicle relative to the first pillar at a predetermined distance from the first pillar and extending substantially along the vehicle height direction; a transparent member bridged between the first pillar and the second pillar; and a curtain airbag device including a curtain airbag stored along a roof side rail and the second pillar, the curtain airbag being configured to inflate and deploy in a curtain-like fashion over a side portion of a cabin of the vehicle in case of a collision of the vehicle.
Cross-car beam
A cross-car beam, includes a plastic beam body 22, defining a first end 24 and a second end 26 spaced from the first end 24 along a first direction D1, such that the plastic beam body 22 is elongate in the first direction D1. The plastic beam body 22 further defines a cross-sectional shape 28 along, a plane P1 that is normal to the first direction D1. The cross-car beam 20, may further include a metallic beam body 42 configured to be coupled to the plastic beam body 22. The metallic beam body 42 defining a first end 44 and a second end 46 spaced from the first end 44 along a direction, for example the first direction D1 when the metallic bean body 42 is coupled to the plastic beam body 22, such that the metallic beam body 42 is elongate in the first direction D1.

Device for attaching two structural parts to each other, comprising a floating positioning element
A device for attaching a cross-member of a dashboard to a front pillar lining, the device including: a reinforcing element including a first positioning element for cooperating with a second positioning element secured to the dashboard such that they occupy a relative determined position. An attachment element is used to immobilize the assembly in the determined position. The attachment element is configured such that the connection between the first positioning element and the reinforcing element includes a position regulating mechanism configured to vary between an unlocked state in which the position of the first positioning element is adjustable in relation to the reinforcing element, and a locked state in which the first positioning element is fixed in relation to the reinforcing element.
Dashboard Support
A dashboard support for a motor vehicle with at least two support parts which follow the longitudinal extent of the dashboard support and are arranged to overlap one another with their mutually facing end portions. A first support part, in its overlapping portion, has a contact seat against which the second support part rests with its connecting portion provided by the overlapping arrangement with its lateral surface and is materially bonded to the first support part. The contact seat of the first support part is provided by an embossing which is designed as a negative structure in relation to the first support part.
