A field configurable autonomous vehicle includes modular elements and attachable components. The vehicle can be assembled from these modular elements and components to meet desired mission and performance characteristics without the need to purchase specially designed vehicles for each mission. The vehicle can include a modular propulsion system with magnetic drive.

Automatic wall climbing type radar photoelectric robot system for non-destructive inspection and diagnosis of damages of bridge and tunnel structure

An automatic wall climbing type radar photoelectric robot system for damages of a bridge and tunnel structure, mainly including a control terminal, a wall climbing robot and a server. The wall climbing robot generates a reverse thrust by rotor systems, moves flexibly against the surface of a rough bridge and tunnel structure by adopting an omnidirectional wheel technology, and during inspection by the wall climbing robot, bridges and tunnels do not need to be closed, and the traffic is not affected. Bridges and tunnels can divide into different working regions only by arranging a plurality of UWB base stations, charging and data receiving devices on the bridge and tunnel structure by means of UWB localization, laser SLAM and IMU navigation technologies, a plurality of wall climbing robots supported to work at the same time, automatic path planning and automatic obstacle avoidance realized, and unattended regular automatic patrolling can be realized.

INSECT-LIKE JUMPING-FLYING ROBOT

An insect-like jumping-flying robot is provided, which includes a flying module, a driving module and biomimetic bouncing legs. The flying module provides flying power via a propeller and a miniature model airplane motor, and front wings and rear wings provide lift, and moment required for attitude change. The driving module provides power with high power density via a brushless motor and is provided with two stages of deceleration to amplify the torque provided by the brushless motor. The first stage of deceleration is performed by a synchronous wheel set, and the second stage of deceleration is performed by a gear set. A driving push rod is used to transmit the power provided by the brushless motor to the biomimetic bouncing legs.

Control system for rotating thrust-producing apparatus
11518443 · 2022-12-06 · ·

A rotating thrust-producing apparatus having a control system includes a rotatable foil having opposite first and second faces and a plurality of spaced apart fins occupying a periphery thereof. A pressure control assembly includes a first adjustable control surface disposed adjacent to a first face of the foil so as to be selectively movable over the fins of the foil. The pressure control assembly may include a second control surface disposed adjacent to the second face of the foil and which may be adjustable. As the foil is rotated, and the at least one adjustable control surface is moved over fins of the foil, a fluid pressure imbalance is created, causing a thrust in the direction of the pressure deficit.

ROPE ROBOT AND METHOD FOR MOUNTING AN OBJECT TO A POWER LINE
20220385047 · 2022-12-01 · ·

A method is for mounting an object, such as a line sensor, to a power line. The method includes: i) suspending and tensioning at least two ropes between a physical ground and a power line; ii) coupling a rope robot with the at least two ropes in such a way that the rope robot can climb up and down the at least two ropes in operational use; iii) providing an object on the rope robot; iv) making the rope robot climb up to the power line to bring the object close to the power line; v) mounting the object to the power line with the rope robot, and vi) decoupling the rope robot from the object and making the rope robot climb down the at least two ropes. A rope robot is disclosed for carrying out this method.

Vertical surface cleaning autonomous device
11583157 · 2023-02-21 ·

A vertical surface cleaning device comprising a main body, a cleaning arm, a cleaning head, and leg mechanisms with grippers. The cleaning head applies a cleaning fluid on a surface to carry out a cleaning operation. A waste collector is provided to collect a waste material arising from the cleaning operation. The grippers may remain in a grip or in a release state. The segments of the leg mechanisms are articulatable to configure a first group of the leg mechanisms to stably hold the main body at a first place with the grippers remaining in the grip state. A second group of the leg mechanisms move in a desired direction with their grippers in release state while the first group stably holds the main body. The first group of the leg mechanisms then moves in the same direction while the second group holds the main body at a second place.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR IDENTIFYING ADVERSE GEOLOGICAL BODY IN TUNNEL BASED ON HYPERSPECTRAL TECHNOLOGY ANALYSIS

A system and a method identify an adverse geological body in a tunnel based on hyperspectral technology analysis. The system includes a wall-climbing robot, a controller, and a signal processor, wherein the wall-climbing robot is provided with a plurality of groups of hyperspectral light sources and receivers, and the hyperspectral light sources and the receivers are arranged at intervals; the controller is configured to control the operation of the wall-climbing robot to ensure that the wall-climbing robot moves on a tunnel face according to a set spiral path; and the signal processor communicates with the receivers to receive the acquired spectrum data, draws a mineral distribution map of the tunnel face with the path raveled by the wall-climbing robot as a plane, and identifies an adverse geological body by identifying categories and distribution characteristics of the representative minerals.
