Rake device for a three wheel motorcycle
11560196 · 2023-01-24 · ·

A method of modifying the rake angle on a motorcycle having a double wishbone front suspension. The motorcycle has a tubular steering housing connected to a non-telescoping fork assembly by a straight body steering stem. The method includes the step of replacing the straight body steering stem with a canted body steering stem. The canted body steering stem includes (i) a primary section having a steering axis corresponding to a steering axis of the motorcycle; and (ii) a secondary section having a cant axis which varies from the steering axis by between 1° and 16°.

Cycle suspension with rotation sensor
11524744 · 2022-12-13 · ·

A suspension assembly for a cycle includes a plurality of links pivotably connected to one another by a plurality of pivots. A rotation sensor measures an angular relationship between two links and a setpoint of the suspension assembly is adjusted based on the angular measurements.

SUSPENSION PIVOT ASSEMBLIES HAVING A RETENTION FEATURE

A pivot assembly for a cycle linkage suspension is provided that includes first and second members and a pivot. The first and second members include lateral openings extending therethrough and the pivot includes a rod portion that is configured to be disposed within the lateral openings to pivotably couple the first and second members together. The rod portion further includes an opening that extends through an intermediate portion thereof. The pivot assembly can further include a pin configured to be removably inserted at least partially into the opening in the rod portion to thereby restrict lateral movement of the rod portion within the first and second members.

FRONT FORKS FOR BICYCLES

Front forks for bicycles are described herein. An example front fork includes an upper fork including a first leg and a second leg, a lower fork including a third leg disposed along the first leg and a fourth leg disposed along the second leg, a first set of links rotatably coupled between the first leg and the third leg, and a second set of links rotatably coupled between the second leg and the fourth leg. The first and second sets of links enable the lower fork to swing relative to the upper fork. The front fork also includes a steerer tube coupled to the front fork and a spring in the steerer tube. The spring is configured to bias the lower fork away from the steer tube.

Tilting two wheel front fork assembly for a vehicle

A front fork assembly includes a shock absorbing assembly and an anti-revolving guiding member arranged in a front-rear direction and extending in an up-down direction to interconnect a suspending bracket and the connecting bridge, left and right connecting levers interconnecting a swing arm assembly and a crank pivoting shaft, and left and right cranks for mounting with two front wheels of a tilting vehicle. Occurrence of speed wobble of the front fork assembly is prevented to render driving of electric bicycles, scooters and motorcycles equipped with the front fork assembly better and safer, to shorten the braking distance of vehicles, to prevent spinning of vehicles during braking, to prevent side slip during turning, to provide more comfortable feeling of shock absorption of vehicles, and to render the driving stable when passing over obstacles.

Electric motorcycle with novel swing arm configuration

The present invention is generally directed to a swing arm configuration and, more specifically, a swing arm that is supported by a shaft of a motor, such as an electric motor of a motorcycle. The configuration includes a swing arm assembly that is supported by a shaft of a motor at one end and a rear axle at the other end. Advantageously, the shaft of the motor may be a structural component of an electric motorcycle and serve as the swing arm pivot as well as the drive shaft.
