The hull unit can be provided with a propulsion unit.
BOAT STABILIZER WITH CONTROLLABLE PARASAIL
A boat stabilizer having an upper harness for attachment to a vessel, the upper harness having an assembly control system for controlling attached wing assemblies, each wing assembly having a wing attached to the assembly control system and a wing mount attached to the wing and the assembly control system. The boat stabilizer may be further comprised of a controllable parasail comprising a parasail canopy, a plurality of parasail cords attached the parasail canopy, a parasail mount attached to the upper harness and the parasail cords, a parasail control rudder attached to each parasail cords, and yaw and pitch controllers, both of which are attached to the parasail control rudder. The assembly control system is configured to work in conjunction with the controllable parasail to provide the desired balance of vertical lift and forward propulsion to the attached vessel, while also providing directional control to the attached vessel.
SAILING BOAT WITH AN AUXILIARY HYDRODYNAMIC SURFACE
A sailing boat has an auxiliary hydrodynamic surface carried by a main boom connected in an oscillating way to a deck of the boat, about an axis of articulation parallel to the longitudinal direction of the boat. A drive system lowers the main boom on one side or the other of the boat in such a way that the hydrodynamic surface is selectively lowerable in a first operative position on one side of the boat to be put into the water on one side of the boat or in a second operative position on the other side of the boat to be put into the water on the other side of the boat. The boom is sized so that, when the hydrodynamic surface is located in one of its two operative positions on one side or the other of the boat, it is set at a lateral distance from the boat.
HULL WITH VARIABLE GEOMETRY
Hull with variable geometry for a vessel (11), comprising a completely immersed part (12), configured to provide part of the buoyancy thrust and integral with an emerged part (13) of the hull by means of one or more uprights (14), and one or more immersed wing surfaces (15) which, in a situation in which the vessel travels at a sufficiently high speed, are configured to provide the remaining part of the vertical thrust required to keep the vessel (11) above the surface of the water at a predetermined height; the hull comprises one or more supports (16a, 16b, 16c) connected to the wing surfaces (15) and associated with floating elements (17a, 17b, 17c) which are mobile with respect to the completely immersed part (12); the floating elements (17a, 17b, 17c) are fixed to the supports (16a, 16b, 16c) or mobile with respect to the supports (16a, 16b, 16c), therefore the floating elements (17a, 17b, 17c) are substantially cooperating with the completely immersed part (12) and with the wing surfaces (15); the wing surfaces (15) are configured to move with respect to the completely immersed part (12) or to remain fixed with respect thereto and the floating elements (17a, 17b, 17c) are configured to increase their immersion as the speed of the vessel decreases, and therefore provide the vertical thrust to maintain or adjust the distance of the vessel from the water in a manner that is optimal and functional for the use of the vessel, even at reduced speeds or when the vessel is stationary.
Superventilated blade that provides hydrodynamic force in a liquid at high speed
One embodiment of submerged superventilated blades (101) that provide hydrodynamic force to a vessel or aircraft (117) that can lift it above the surface of the water (106) at high speed by creating thrust with a wetted high pressure surface (111), the low pressure surface (112) being covered with a gas filled void in the liquid, thus preventing sudden loss of lift as speed increases due to cavitation or surface venting. Other embodiments are described and shown.
Boat stabilizer
A boat stabilizer having an upper harness for attachment to a vessel having bow, stern, port and starboard sides; the upper harness having: four beams forming a rectangular shape with four corners, each beam running along a different side of the vessel, a rudder and an assembly control system and four wing assemblies, each one attached to the assembly control system and the upper harness and having a rod junction connected to the upper harness, two rods connected to the rod junction, a wing connected to the two rods, and a wing mount attached to the wing by a wing pole and the upper harness by a control pole. The assembly control system may adjust wing pitch angle and rotate the wing assemblies to and from the water. Adjustment of wing angles may increase stability, reduce wear and tear, increase fuel efficiency, and maintain vessel safety.
Hydrofoil system and marine vessel
The invention relates to a hydrofoil system for a marine vessel comprising a hull (101), the hydrofoil system comprising at least one pair of foldable hydrofoils (109, 110) which are pivoted relative to the marine vessel, wherein each hydrofoil (109, 110) is controllable by at least one actuator (930) for displacement of the at least one pair of foldable hydrofoils in a lateral direction of the marine vessel between a stowed position and a deployed position. Each foldable hydrofoil (109, 110) is hinged relative to the hull above the water line on opposite sides of the marine vessel. A first portion (111) of each hydrofoil extends adjacent the hull (101) towards the water line of the marine vessel when the hydrofoil is in the stowed position and a second portion (112) comprises a free second end extending under the hull. The second portion (112) is submerged and arranged in a lateral recess (107) behind a stepped hull portion (106) of the marine vessel when the hydrofoil is in the stowed position.
