COLLAPSABLE ANCHOR
An anchor system including an anchor having a body member and a first arm pivotally coupled to the body member. The first arm is movable between a closed position wherein the first arm is positioned adjacent to the body member and an open position wherein at least part of the first arm is spaced away from the body member. The system further includes a second arm pivotally coupled to the body member and movable between a closed position wherein the second arm is positioned adjacent to the body member and an open position wherein at least part of the second arm is spaced away from the body member. At least one of the first or second arms has a cavity that is exposed when the at least one of the first or second arms is in the open position. The at least one of the first or second arms includes a protrusion extending therefrom.
Self-Retrieving Anchor (SRA)
A self-retrievable anchor with a shovel, lever, and manifold contains no welded parts eliminating weld failure due to tensional and bending forces during anchor retrieval. The anchor has interchangeable parts. The manifold attaches the shovel to lever, and contains at least an internal breakable fuse. A specific dimensioned fuse to anchor size is used. The fuse is not universal. When a tensional force is applied above fuse shear strength capacity, and below breaking strength of the rope, the fuse breaks rotating the shovel 180° about a pivot hinge pin. The anchor is released when stuck at sea bottom without any loss. The anchor's interchangeable parts makes it capable to change shovel shapes suitable to different sea bottom conditions. A stop bar on the shovel portion may be included. The lever may also detach during retrieval by a breakable pivot hinge pin or fuse pin alone, and shovel/manifold later replaced.
Anchoring device
A collapsible anchoring device is disclosed. The device includes a generally shaped frame made of metal and having a front and rear section. The frame includes two to four spades welded/formed to the front and rear sections ranging from 35 to 55-degree angles. Two or four spades are welded/formed on top of the frame and two or four spaded are welded/formed on the bottom side of the frame. Four butt hinges are welded to each end of the frame with stainless steel, galvanized, and or powder coated hardware in order allow the anchor to fold and lay flat. A handle bar attached to said frame and adapted for attachment to a boat anchor line.
System for controlling marine vessel using single command operator
A system for controlling a marine vessel comprises an input device for inputting an operator command, a sensor which senses and signals an engine function variable or a vessel dynamic variable, and a first structural element and a second structural element. The first structural element and the second structural element each control speed or direction of motion of the marine vessel, and the first structural element and the second structural element each affect the marine vessel dynamic variable. There is a controller which receives the operator command and the engine function variable or the vessel dynamic variable. The controller moves the first structural element and the second structural element based on the engine function variable or the vessel dynamic variable, after receiving the single operator command.
Towing anchor capable of extending wing plate and installation method therefor
A towing anchor capable of extending wing plate and an installation method therefor are provided. The towing anchor includes a main anchor plate and two wing plates which can slide outwards relative to the main anchor plate and will not be detached from the main anchor plate. The main anchor plate is anchored with a mooring steel cable connected to a towing vessel. The main anchor plate is further provided with a limit cable-receiving groove, in which first, second and third fixed pulleys are respectively provided correspondingly to each of the two wing plates. One end of a tensioning steel cable is fixed to an inner edge of the wing plate, and the other end of the tensioning steel cable sequentially surrounds the third, second, and first fixed pulleys and then passes through an opening formed at middle position of the groove to be connected to the towing vessel.
Foldable anchor
A foldable anchor storable on watercraft with limited storage and deck space and which secures watercraft in place in sandy and soft bottom boating areas and is releasable from underwater objects. The foldable anchor includes a forward anchor body with an internal weighted ballast on an anchor body and a two-part shank pivotably attached to a top end of the anchor body which allows the shank to pivot from an elevated position to a lowered position relative the anchor body. The shank has a rear portion and a front portion pivotably disposed thereon and foldable against the rear portion. Stabilizer wings between the front and rear portions assist the anchor body to roll into a correct upright position. Locking pins secure each of the rear and front portions together and the rear portion and anchor body together at selected angles. D-rings and breakable zip ties secure the shank to an anchor rope.
TOWING ANCHOR CAPABLE OF EXTENDING WING PLATE AND INSTALLATION METHOD THEREFOR
A towing anchor capable of extending wing plate and an installation method therefor are provided. The towing anchor includes a main anchor plate and two wing plates which can slide outwards relative to the main anchor plate and will not be detached from the main anchor plate. The main anchor plate is anchored with a mooring steel cable connected to a towing vessel. The main anchor plate is further provided with a limit cable-receiving groove, in which first, second and third fixed pulleys are respectively provided correspondingly to each of the two wing plates. Panel drop down boarding point for a recreational watercraft
The present disclosure includes recreational watercraft including a drop down boarding point. One example includes a hull, an open platform passenger deck, and a plurality of sides, continuous from the hull. The watercraft includes a panel drop down boarding point, hingedly attached horizontally to the hull, for ingress and egress of persons to the watercraft. The panel drop down boarding point includes a first surface interior to the watercraft when the panel drop down boarding point is closed, a second surface, opposite to the first surface and exterior to the watercraft when the panel drop down boarding point is closed, and an aperture formed between the first surface and the second surface and having an opening in an end surface of the panel drop down boarding point. The aperture is sized and shaped to house a retractable ladder and for the ladder to extend out through the opening.
Apparatus and system for securing an accessory to an object
A restraining device, such as a bolt, pin, or latch, removably secures a connector sleeve to a U-bolt, such as a tow-rope-eyelet on the bow of a boat hull. The connector sleeve is machined with an internal cavity having surfaces and dimension that correspond to outer surfaces of the U-bolt. The sleeve contains holes through which the restraining device passes after the sleeve has been slid over the U-bolt such that the restraining device, while installed, prevents the sleeve from sliding back off of the U-bolt. The sleeve also includes accessory mount holes to receive restraining devices that attach an accessory, such as a ladder, to the sleeve and thus to the boat via the sleeve that has been secured thereto. The sleeve may provide for set screws to snug the sleeve to the U-bolt if clearance exists between surfaces of the cavity and the U-bolt.
