CONDUIT ANCHOR
Disclosed is conduit anchor, an offshore system comprising a conduit anchor and a method of deployment. The conduit anchor includes a base section adapted for attachment to a conduit, and a conduit guide extending from the base section. In use a dynamic conduit extends along a dynamic conduit pathway range defined by the anchor, via the conduit guide. The conduit guide comprises a convex bend protecting surface region oriented towards the dynamic conduit pathway range which in use protects against over bending of the dynamic conduit.
CONDUIT ANCHOR
Disclosed is conduit anchor, an offshore system comprising a conduit anchor and a method of deployment. The conduit anchor includes a base section adapted for attachment to a conduit, and a conduit guide extending from the base section. In use a dynamic conduit extends along a dynamic conduit pathway range defined by the anchor, via the conduit guide. The conduit guide comprises a convex bend protecting surface region oriented towards the dynamic conduit pathway range which in use protects against over bending of the dynamic conduit.
COLLAPSABLE ANCHOR
An anchor system including an anchor having a body member and a first arm pivotally coupled to the body member. The first arm is movable between a closed position wherein the first arm is positioned adjacent to the body member and an open position wherein at least part of the first arm is spaced away from the body member. The system further includes a second arm pivotally coupled to the body member and movable between a closed position wherein the second arm is positioned adjacent to the body member and an open position wherein at least part of the second arm is spaced away from the body member. At least one of the first or second arms has a cavity that is exposed when the at least one of the first or second arms is in the open position. The at least one of the first or second arms includes a protrusion extending therefrom.
COLLAPSABLE ANCHOR
An anchor system including an anchor having a body member and a first arm pivotally coupled to the body member. The first arm is movable between a closed position wherein the first arm is positioned adjacent to the body member and an open position wherein at least part of the first arm is spaced away from the body member. The system further includes a second arm pivotally coupled to the body member and movable between a closed position wherein the second arm is positioned adjacent to the body member and an open position wherein at least part of the second arm is spaced away from the body member. At least one of the first or second arms has a cavity that is exposed when the at least one of the first or second arms is in the open position. The at least one of the first or second arms includes a protrusion extending therefrom.
Rotary generator
A system for converting fluid flow into electricity. The system has an arm assembly with four floats that rotate around a center float. The floats on the arm assembly are all provided with impellers that turn one half revolution for every one revolution of the arm assembly. This slow rotation maintains the impellers at the optimal angle to convert the flow of the water current into rotational motion of the arm assembly, regardless of the orientation of the arm assembly. The arm assembly is coupled to an electric generator provided on the center float that converts torque generated by the arm assembly into electric power that may either be stored on an on-board battery or transmitted by wire for use elsewhere.
Vehicle for installing anchors in an underwater substrate
A method of installing one or more anchors in an underwater substrate in a body of water including installing an anchor into the underwater substrate by rotating an anchor installation vehicle about a central axis Y to drive the anchor coupled to the anchor installation vehicle into the underwater substrate. The anchor installation vehicle includes a vehicle frame having a top end and bottom end, a plurality of arms extending outward from the vehicle frame, one or more rotational thrusters disposed at distal ends of the respective arms, and an anchor system that holds the anchor extending from the bottom end of the vehicle frame with the anchor aligned with a central axis Y.
Vehicle for installing anchors in an underwater substrate
A method of installing one or more anchors in an underwater substrate in a body of water including installing an anchor into the underwater substrate by rotating an anchor installation vehicle about a central axis Y to drive the anchor coupled to the anchor installation vehicle into the underwater substrate. The anchor installation vehicle includes a vehicle frame having a top end and bottom end, a plurality of arms extending outward from the vehicle frame, one or more rotational thrusters disposed at distal ends of the respective arms, and an anchor system that holds the anchor extending from the bottom end of the vehicle frame with the anchor aligned with a central axis Y.
ANCHOR DEVICE FOR ANCHORING A FLOATING STRUCTURE TO THE SEABED AND INSTALLATION METHOD OF THE ANCHOR DEVICE
An anchor device for anchoring a floating structure to the seabed with an anchor chain having a shackle at one end of the chain. The anchor device includes a mooring bolt for being inserted into a borehole drilled in the seabed and a support plate having a lower face for resting on the seabed and an upper face with a through hole through which the mooring bolt passes through the support plate for being inserted into the borehole. The upper face of the support plate has a connection point for coupling the shackle of the end of the chain, such that when the floating structure is anchored to the seabed, the chain is subjected to tensile stresses causing a force to be applied at the connection point and not directly to the mooring bolt.
Generation of Electrical Power Offshore
A floating power-generation group comprises a floating hub such as a spar buoy that is anchored to subsea foundations by anchor lines. Floating power producer units such as wind turbines are connected electrically and mechanically to the hub. The power producer units are each moored by mooring lines. At least one mooring line extends inwardly toward the hub to effect mechanical connection to the hub and at least one other mooring line extends outwardly toward a subsea foundation. The groups are combined as a set whose hubs are connected electrically to each other via subsea energy storage units. Anchor lines of different groups can share subsea foundations. The storage units comprise pumping machinery to expel water from an elongate storage volume and generating machinery to generate electricity from a flow of water entering the storage volume. The pumping machinery may be in deeper water than the generating machinery.
