In the art of sailing vessels, various styled tracks retain an edge of a sail. A retained sail edge is prone to fouling by environmental conditions and becomes exceptionally difficult to remove. A disclosed Foiling Rabbit 100 or track conditioner, cleans, lubricates and otherwise services the sail void area of a track or other sail retention area. A cleaning wick 400 may have main body 430 attached to a thickened or rolled interior edge and outer surface 430. An inner edge of the wick may be retained within a wick retaining cartridge 7. A lubricant cartridge 1 may be attached to the wick retaining cartridge. The lubricant cartridge may define one or more reservoir bodies 2a which may contain a lubricant and cleaning fluid. By use of various direct and indirect channels, and controlled capillary action, lubricant flows from the lubricant cartridge to a workpiece removes debris and lubricates.

A sailing boat includes at least one mast with at least one first and one second section projecting upwards with respect to the hull and arranged facing each other in the orthogonal direction to the advancement direction for supporting a mainsail in two mutually specular and alternative operating positions, where the sections are connected and spaced out from each other by at least one overturning section of the mainsail placed at the top of them to allow the passage from one specular position to the other. The three sections of mast define for that purpose a first sliding guide for the whole mainsail that extends substantially along the whole extension length of the mast and the mast includes a second sliding guide positioned substantially at the top thereof and placed aft with respect to the overturning section.

A sail for the propulsion of elements of transport, which comprises a sheet-like body made of flexible material which is connected, along one of its edges, to a supporting mast, connected to an element of transport. At least one stiffening rib is associated with the sheet-like body and is accommodated in a respective pocket which is formed in the sheet-like body and extends for at least one portion of the sheet-like body comprised between the supporting mast and the edge of the sheet-like body that is opposite to the one connected to the supporting mast; the rib has, or can assume on command, a substantially arc-like shape adapted to generate lift. Elements are further provided for varying the orientation of a concave part of the rib with respect to the supporting mast.

AUTOMATIC LOCKING SAIL TRACK CAR SYSTEMS AND APPARATUS

An apparatus (100) for actuating a locking mechanism (12) of a locking sail track car (10) comprises a latch formation (116) disposed in a fixed position with respect to the track (14), a control surface (112) spaced from the latch formation (116) in a hoisting direction, and an actuator assembly (120) for attachment to the car (10). The actuator assembly (120) comprises an actuator (124) for operating a control member (24) of the car locking mechanism, and a latch element (158) connected to the actuator (124) and moveable between a first detent position in which the latch element (158) is not engageable with the latch formation (116) and a second detent position. The latch element (158) is arranged to cooperate with the control surface (112) upon movement of the actuator assembly (120) in the hoisting direction to set the latch element (158) into the second detent position, and is engageable with the latch formation (116) upon subsequent movement of the actuator assembly (120) in a loading direction with the latch element (158) in the second detent position. Engagement of the latch element (158) with the latch formation (116) fixes the actuator (124) in position with respect to the track (14) for operating the control member (24) of the car locking mechanism (12) upon subsequent movement of the car (10) in the loading direction, and urges the latch element (158) out of the second detent position and towards the first detent position such that subsequent movement of the actuator assembly (120) in the hoisting direction to disengage the latch element (158) from the latch formation (116) sets the latch element (158) back into the first detent position.
