Method Of Producing A Packaging Container, A Packaging Container And A Curling Tool
The present disclosure relates to a method of forming a paperboard packaging container from a rectangular body blank, the method comprising the steps of providing a rectangular body blank having a first end edge and a second side edge, forming a tubular container body from the rectangular body blank, sealing together the first and the second side edge of the body blank, closing the first end opening by pressing a paperboard disc into the first end opening, pressing the first end of the tubular container body into a curl forming portion of a curling tool, filling the packaging container with bulk solids, and closing the second end opening.
Process and apparatus for treating containers for storing substances for medical, pharmaceutical or cosmetic applications
A process and apparatus are provided for treating or processing containers that are used for storing substances for medical, pharmaceutical or cosmetic applications or contain the same. During the process, cylindrical containers open at least at one end are automatically led past or pass through processing stations for treatment or processing by means of a conveying device, while the containers are jointly held by a carrier in a regular two-dimensional arrangement. The carrier includes a plurality of openings or receptacles that determine the regular arrangement. The treatment or processing of the containers is performed on or in at least one of the processing stations while the containers are supported by the carrier.
Apparatus and method for manufacturing of containers
The invention concerns an apparatus for manufacturing of containers from blanks of a cardboard based material, said apparatus comprising: a container body forming unit configured to form a cylindrical container body from a substantially plane blank of a multilayer material comprising at least a supporting cardboard layer and a weldable layer; a welding unit configured to fasten an end closure to the container body, said welding unit comprising an inductive welding energy generator for melting of the weldable layer; and transporting means configured to transport a flow of body blanks to the container body forming unit, to transport a flow of container bodies from the container body forming unit to the welding unit, and to transport a flow of container bodies provided with end closures from the welding unit. The invention is characterized in that the transporting means comprises: a first movable gripping arrangement configured to grip at least two container bodies and move these container bodies simultaneously to the welding unit; and a transferring and positioning arrangement configured to transfer container bodies from the container body forming unit to the first movable gripping arrangement and to position the container bodies in a controlled manner to ensure that the first movable gripping arrangement can grip the at least two container bodies properly, wherein the welding unit is configured to simultaneously fasten an end closure to each of the at least two container bodies. The invention also concerns a method for operating an apparatus of the above type.
METHOD OF SEALING A COMPOSTABLE CONTAINER BY DEFORMING A PORTION OF THE CONTAINER
A fully compostable beverage capsule may be produced by improving the seal strength between the capsule and its lid. In this invention, a number of protruding tabs are added to the upper and/or lower edges of the capsule. The lidding is then attached to the capsule via an energetic welding process, such as ultrasonic welding. In this process, the protruding tabs are folded over the edge of the capsule and deformed, increasing the surface area contact between the capsule and its lidding. Acting similarly to a swage fitting, these spikes will improve the strength of the seal that forms between the lidding and the capsule.
Method and Apparatus for Manufacturing a Consumable Unit for an Inhalation Device, and a Consumable Unit for an Inhalation Device
Apparatus for securing a closure to a container of a consumable unit for use with an inhalation device, in which the container comprises a plurality of stakes protruding from the container, is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a device configured to deform the plurality of stakes to secure the closure to the container. A method of securing a closure to a container of a consumable unit for use with an inhalation device, in which the method comprises deforming the plurality of stakes to secure the closure to the container, is also disclosed.
Method and Apparatus for Manufacturing a Consumable Unit for an Inhalation Device, and a Consumable Unit for an Inhalation Device
A method of manufacturing a consumable unit for use with an inhalation device is disclosed. The method comprises providing a dose of aerosolisable material to a container of the consumable unit; positioning a closure over an end of the container; and securing the closure to the container. Apparatus for manufacturing a consumable unit for use with an inhalation device is also disclosed.
LID-CLOSING APPARATUS AND LID-CLOSING METHOD
A lid tilted with a first end thereof facing downward in a gravity direction is brought into partial contact with a first end of a container body having an opening and a peripheral portion surrounding the opening, the first end of the container body being included in the peripheral portion and corresponding to the first end of the lid. The lid kept in partial contact with the first end of the peripheral portion of the container body is slid to a position where the first end of the lid is a contact portion at which the lid makes contact with the container body and where the first end of the lid is in contact with the first end of the peripheral portion of the container body. Thus, the container body is closed with the lid covering the opening of the container body.
CAPSULE AND MANUFACTURING PROCESS FOR PRODUCING SAID CAPSULE
The invention related to a capsule for preparing a beverage comprisinga substantially rigid capsule body having a circumferential sidewall extending around an inner space of the capsule, said inner space being at least partially filled with a beverage ingredient suitable for preparing the beverage, a base wall covering the inner space at a first end of the sidewall, a flange arranged circumferentially around an open side of the capsule at a second end of the sidewall of the base body opposite the base wall, a lid covering the inner space and the open side of the capsule at the second end of the sidewall opposite the base wall and tightly closing the capsule, the lid being removably attached to the flange of the capsule, a filter element positioned in the inner space of the capsule between the beverage ingredient and the lid; anda carrier disk provided in the inner space of the capsule between the lid and the filter, said carrier disk comprising multiple preformed outlet openings suitable for draining the prepared beverage from the inner space outside of the capsule when the capsule is used in the beverage preparation device. According to the invention, the capsule comprises at least one mechanical deformation at the junction or in the vicinity of the junction of the flange and side wall of the capsule, said mechanical deformation retaining the carrier disk inside the inner space of the capsule. The invention also relates to a manufacturing method for manufacturing said capsule and to the use of said capsule.
Closing element
