METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR REALIZING AN ASEPTIC CONNECTION BETWEEN A VALVE UNIT AND A TANK CONTAINER
The invention relates to a method for realizing an aseptic connection between a valve unit and a tank container comprising an inliner, wherein a disinfection unit comprising the valve unit is positioned around the spout of the tank container. The valve unit is then disinfected by exposing it to a disinfection fluid and/or to electromagnetic radiation while the valve of the valve unit is in an open position. After having closed the valve, an end portion of the valve unit is pressed against a closure element that blocks the spout of the inliner, to thereby effect that the inner environment of the inliner and the interior of the valve unit are in fluid communication. The disinfection unit is then removed and the valve unit is fastened to the tank container to ensure an aseptic connection between the valve unit and the tank container.
Flexible Inflatable Polyhedron-Shaped Water Tank
A flexible and inflatable tank for the supply of potable water that is made of a strong, rigid and flexible material and is designed to incorporate a thin, flexible inner bag that is made of materials that comply with standards for the storage of potable water. The tank is made of a rectangular sheet, a pair of walls, and one or more openings and is shaped in general like a closed, round, oblate cylinder with two side walls.
INNER COVERING FOR CONTAINERS
The invention relates to inner covering for containers, the objective of which is to reduce the impact of temperatures on the inside thereof and to protect against the moisture known as “container rain”. The covering is formed by a rectangular prismatic case (1) in the horizontal position, made from a laminated composite having several layers, with two smaller bases and a series of bars (4) arranged in fixing elements (3) corresponding to two or more edges of the smaller bases, characterized in that the bars (4) are formed by elements that can be inserted into one another.
UNDERWATER STORAGE TANK, SYSTEM OF ASSESSING THE PHYSICAL INTEGRITY OF AN UNDERWATER TANK, METHOD FOR DETECTING A LOSS OF PHYSICAL INTEGRITY OF AN UNDERWATER STORAGE TANK
An underwater storage tank having a flexible multilayer tank containing a working liquid is provided. The flexible multilayer tank has at least one internal electrical insulating layer in contact with the working fluid, at least one external electrical insulating layer in contact with sea water, and at least one intermediate electric conductive layer sealed between the at least one internal electrical insulating layer and the at least one external electrical insulating layer. At least one first electrical connection means is connected to the at least one intermediate electric conductive layer, the least one first electrical connection means being electrically connectable to an electrical grounded measurement instrument to assess physical integrity of the flexible multilayer tank.
SELF REGULATING HEATER IN AN INTERMEDIATE BULK CONTAINER
A method for establishing and/or maintaining a desired temperature of a material in an intermediate bulk container including the steps of positioning a heating element in at least partial contact with a material container containing the material within the intermediate bulk container; and applying an electrical power source to the heating element, wherein the heating element is at least partially made of a positive temperature coefficient resistant material, the heat from the heating element being largely transferred to the material in the material container.
AIR BAG
An air bag to be mounted in a cargo container for facilitating discharge of powder granular material from a liner filled with the powder granular material, the air bag including a synthetic resin film bag that assumes a triangle or trapezoid shape in a state where the bag has a flat form with no air injected. A gusset is formed in a base part of the triangle or in a lower base part of the trapezoid by folding the synthetic resin film inward. Flexible reinforcing covers having a triangle or trapezoid shape in accordance with the triangle or trapezoid shape of the bag are laminated respectively on one surface and the other surface of the bag. A short air outlet tube, as well as an air inlet tube, is connected to one side part of the triangle or one leg part of the trapezoid of the bag.
THERMAL AND BREATHABLE LINER FOR TRANSPORT CONTAINERS
A liner for a shipping container including one or more sections, each removably disposed in overlying relation to an interior side of the shipping container, and being formed of a thermally insulative material and including at least one breathable material segment. Each breathable material segment is at least partially formed of an air permeable material having an apertured construction structured to facilitate airflow therethrough, between inner and outer surfaces of a corresponding one of said one or more sections. The apertured construction of the one or more breathable material segments may be at least partially defined by an open mesh material or other materials which include a plurality of through holes integrally formed therein.
Liquid stabilizing inliner for a tank container
The invention relates to a liquid-stabilizing inliner for use in a tank container, comprising an inliner having an inliner wall made of a film material, wherein the inliner wall 1) is configured as a bag to define an interior space for storing a liquid, 2) has an opening for the entrance of the liquid into the interior space, 3) has an inner surface facing the interior space and an outer surface facing an exterior environment; characterized in that an inflatable unit is connected to the inliner, the inflatable unit comprising a film material that is configured as a bag to define an interior space for containing a gas. The inflatable unit reduces sloshing of the liquid when a tank container with the inliner is partly filled with liquid. The inflatable unit may also function as a handle for removing the liquid-stabilizing after use.
SUBSEA MATERIAL DELIVERY STRUCTURE
A subsea material delivery structure, including at least one material storage tank, wherein the material storage tank includes a rigid outer container, at least one pressure balanced inner flexible container. A pinch prevention device may be disposed within the at least one inner flexible container to prevent premature closing of a fluid egress pathway.
Industrial containment bags for bulk materials, waste materials and/or hazardous materials with varying levels of radioactivity
The present invention is directed to new and improved industrial containment bags wherein the improvement comprises providing methods and technologies for improving the integrity of such bags during processes designed for lifting, transporting storing and/or disposing of the same. In certain embodiments, the improvement includes providing methods and technologies for improving the sealing capabilities of the bag's closure systems. In other embodiments, the improvement includes providing methods and technologies for assessing the load balance of materials being contained in such industrial containment bags; and thereafter, compensating for any significant load imbalances. The present invention is also directed to methods of manufacturing, using, filling, lifting, transporting, storing, and/or disposing of such new and improved industrial containment bags.
