The neck portion further comprises a plurality of external threads (108), occupying, in the axial direction (z) a region (109) located between a first plane (P.sub.1) and a second plane (P.sub.2), wherein the second plane (P.sub.2) is arranged between the first plane (P.sub.1) and the second axial end. The hinge portion is having a pivot axis (A.sub.P) about which the lid portion is pivotally movable. The pivot axis A.sub.P is located between the first plane (P.sub.1) and the second axial end (106) of the neck portion. The invention also relates to an assembly comprising a paper or paperboard-based package (50) and such a closure device (1).
CONTAINER CLOSURE
A plastic container closure has a screw cap with a cylindrical casing having an internal screw thread and a lid disc adjoining the casing, a security ring connected by first break-off webs to a free edge of the casing and a holding ring in the region of the container neck. The security ring has slots distributed over its circumference and each have a top edge and a bottom edge, wherein the top edge is formed by a section of the security ring that extends in the shape of a circular arc. The bottom edge is formed by a wall section that is inclined inwards in a radial direction. The bottom edge of each slot engages in a form-fitting manner with the holding ring.
THREADED TAMPER EVIDENCE FINISH AND CLOSURE FOR CONTAINER
A tamper evidence closure is provided for rotatably engaging with a finish of a container to seal contents within the interior of the container. A multiplicity of thin connections attach a tamper evidence band to a circumference of the tamper evidence closure. A segmented cam extends around the circumference of the tamper evidence band. An angled lower surface of the cam facilitates passing the tamper evidence band over a tamper evidence ledge of the finish during assembly of the tamper evidence closure onto the container. An upper surface of the cam engages with the tamper evidence ledge to break the thin connections and retain the tamper evidence band positioned on the finish during loosening of the tamper evidence closure. Multiple overhang portions above the cam press against an upper portion of the tamper evidence ledge to ensure that the tamper evidence band remains engaged with the tamper evidence ledge.
Resealable Pouring Element for Cardboard/Plastic Composite Packages With an Anchor Ring for Securely Fastening Screw Cap
Represented and described is a resealable pouring element for cardboard/plastic composite packages, in particular beverage packages, with a base element with a circumferential fastening flange as well as an external thread, with opening means arranged at least in the unopened state of the pouring element in the interior of the base element and with a screw cap with internal thread. The opening means are designed such that when the composite package is initially opened by unscrewing the screw cap by breaking the composite material of the package or a barrier layer located in the base element, a pour opening is created inside the pouring element. In order to ensure a fastening of the screw cap to the pouring element in such a resealable pouring element, even in the unscrewed stale, it is provided that an anchor ring is arranged below the screw cap, is connected thereto in a rotationally-fixed manner and is connected to the base element so as to be radially freely rotatable around the base element and in a tension-resistant manner in the axial direction and in that, to securely fasten the screw cap to the base element, even in the unscrewed state, the anchor ring is connected to the screw cap a hinged manner via a hinge element, whose pivot axis is aligned tangentially to the outer circumference of the screw cap.
CLOSURE
A single-piece flip-top dispensing closure (10) is provided. The closure comprises a base (15) and a lid (20) joined by a hinge (25). The base is attachable to a container neck and includes an integral spout (45). A tamper-evident member is frangibly connected to the lid. The tamper-evident member includes a hook (85). The base is provided with a raised crossbar (550) under which the hook engages with the closure in an initially closed condition. When the lid is initially opened the interaction between the crossbar and the hook causes the tamper-evident member to release from the lid.
Compact fast-opening cap and cap and mouthpiece assembly for a container
A compact fast-opening cap for a container having a mouthpiece with an outer annular perimetric rib, includes a base ring preventing separation from the mouthpiece; a protective cap or cover for opening and closing the mouthpiece; a hinge integrally joining the base ring and the cover; and frangible bridges that connect a lower edge of the cover with an upper edge of the base ring. The hinge includes strips or bridges connecting the cover to the base ring and an extension enlarged outwardly that forms an integral part of a lower end of the cover and that becomes engaged to the perimetric rib of the mouthpiece when the cover rotates around the hinge from a closed to an open position to create a stable positioning in the open position. A multi-thread or multi-start thread. provided inside the cover. is coupled with threads on an external wall of the mouthpiece.
Cap for a container
Described is closing cap for a container comprising a lateral wall extending about an axis, a separation line being provided on the lateral wall to define a retaining ring, which comprises a retaining portion which extends up to a free edge of the retaining ring and is configured to engage internally with a ring for locking a neck of the container in such a way as to remain anchored to the neck, and a closing element removably engageable with the neck, so as to open or close the container rotating the closing element about the axis. The separation line is circumferentially interrupted to define in the lateral wall a joining zone in which the retaining ring and the closing element are joined. The cap comprises in addition an incision line, which is also provided on the lateral wall to define, in association with the separation line at least a first connecting band and a second connecting band for connecting together the joining zone and the retaining portion. The incision line comprises a pair of lateral stretches wherein a first lateral stretch defines, with a first part of the separation line, the first connecting band and a second lateral stretch defines, with a second part of the separation line, the second connecting band. The lateral stretches differ in angular extension to define connecting bands of different lengths, the angular difference between the longest lateral stretch and the other lateral stretch being greater than or equal to 5° and less than or equal to 45°.
Containers and closures
A closure may have a top wall and a side wall depending from the top wall. A plug seal device may depend from said top wall within the side wall. The plug seal device may have an upper section, a lower section, and a sealing section proximate the boundary between the upper section and the lower section. The sealing section is operable such that when the plug seal device is inserted in an opening to an inner cavity in a container, the sealing section engages with an inner container surface to provide a seal between an inner cavity of the container and the external environment.
Stopper having interrupted threads
The invention is a screw type plastic stopper, comprising a closure shell and a tamper band to be secured on a bottle neck. The stopper further includes a weakness line having bridges, that separably link a bottom edge of the closure shell to a top edge of the tamper band, and at least one inner thread that is located and extends along an inner wall of the stopper. The inner thread is interrupted along the weakness line and comprises a top part located at the closure shell over the weakness line and a bottom part located at the tamper band under the weakness line.
