Fruit flavoring in the image of a fruit portion for introduction into a vessel for flavoring a fluid
An apparatus and method are provided for storing and dispensing into a liquid a soluble substance, such as a flavoring, a body fuel, a nutritional supplement, a stimulant, a relaxant, an alcohol neutralizer, or a medical drug. A useful application of the subject invention includes a lime flavoring held by a gelatinous artificial lime wedge stored with a beer bottle or can, or attached to a 6-pack or 12-pack carton. The artificial lime wedge may be retrieved from a protective covering and acted upon so it mixes the lime flavoring into the beer when it is inserted into the beer bottle or can. Rather than needing to buy and store a perishable natural lime, and cut it up, an artificial lime wedge may be stored for an extended period of time with a beer vessel and placed in functional contact with the beer at time of consumption.
BIOPSY CONTAINER ASSEMBLY
A biopsy container assembly having a container with a lower chamber suitable for containing a buffer liquid, and a cap coupled with the container. The cap being provided with a chamber that contains a biopsy liquid sealed by a membrane, and a crown with a toothing-suitable for tearing off the membrane of the cap. The crown is also suitable for being disposed in the container in an initial position, wherein the toothing is directed downwards in order not to interfere with the membrane of the cap when the cap is closed on the container, and in an operating position, wherein the toothing is directed upwards in order to tear off the membrane of the cap when the cap is closed on the container.
Infant formula preparation apparatus
An assembly for dispensing a substance into a receptacle, the assembly including: a) a first portion connected to an opening of the receptacle; b) a chamber for containing the substance, the chamber being at least partly located within the first portion; c) a seal located below the chamber, the seal retaining the substance in the chamber; d) a removable stop member; and wherein removal of the stop member enables the chamber to be moved downwardly to cause the seal to open and release the substance into the receptacle.
Specimen sample collection device with buffer-containing cap
A specimen sample collection device is disclosed, the device including: a base having a neck extending therefrom, a film-puncture element disposed within the neck, and one or more fluid ports extending through the base within the neck; a cap engaged with the neck, the cap comprising a film attached about an inner cylinder of the cap along a periphery thereof; wherein the film defines a buffer-containing cavity within the cap, and wherein the buffer-containing cavity is configured to hold a preservation buffer for preserving a sample stored within a collection reservoir of the device.
INTERFACE CONNECTION DEVICE, KIT, MULTIPLE COMPARTMENT CONTAINER HAVING THE CONNECTION DEVICE FOR MIXING CONTENTS AND METHOD FOR ASSEMBLING SUCH CONTAINER
The container is suitable for the separate packaging and storage of at least two contents, which need to be combined in the preparation of a ready-to-use product. Two container bodies each provided with a coupler are assembled by using a separate interface device as intermediate connector. A mixing mechanism is formed when inserting the couplers through opposite annular rings of the connector of the interface device. The interface device includes two openers having a different or opposite orientation, typically arranged inside a same puncturing structure of generally cylindrical shape, for releasing an internal passage initially sealed between two closure members. The closure members respectively close an access opening of the container bodies, hermetically. Relative movement of the closure members toward the openers allows communication between a first compartment and a second compartment.
Container cap and compounds
An apparatus configured for accommodating and dispensing a compound into a container is provided. The apparatus includes a body including an upper end portion, a lower end portion, and an opening defining a volume configured for accommodating the compound. The apparatus includes a lid removably coupled and moveable relative to the upper end portion of the body. The lid includes an upper end portion including an exterior surface and an interior surface. Further, the lid includes a protrusion extending downwardly from the interior surface of the lid by a second length greater than a first length of the body. The protrusion includes a gasket interposing between an inner surface of the body and an outer surface of the protrusion.
Container closure with standard capsule
Container closure for a container (1), the container closure having at least one receiving chamber, for receiving a substance of liquid or powdery consistency, and having a mouthpiece (5) comprising a through-opening (13), characterized in that the container closure has an adapter (2), into which a capsule (3) having the substance is interchangeably inserted, and an actuating element (6) for actuating the capsule (3), wherein the capsule (3) has a housing forming the receiving chamber, in which a perforator (7) is arranged, and the housing has two openings, wherein one opening is closed by a closure film (8) and the second opening is closed by an end region of the perforator (7), wherein the actuating element (6) is operatively connected to the end region of the perforator (7) that closes the second opening of the capsule (3), and the adapter (2), the capsule (3) and the actuating element (6) form mutually separate components.
Dispensing System
A dispensing system (40) includes a body (54) having an outer wall (64) defining a volume for storing a substance, the outer wall (64) having a top end (66) and a sealed bottom end (70). The top end (66) is covered by a flexible lid (56) that is attached to the body (54). The lid (56) has a press portion (88) for being engaged to move the lid (56) from a first position into a second, deflected position. A post (58) is connected to the lid (56) and is configured in the second position of the lid (56) to breach the sealed bottom end (70) forming a dispensing orifice (80) to accommodate movement of a substance out of the body (54). In one form, the outer wall (64) includes at least one bottle stop projection (218) defining one or more vent channels (219).
FILLABLE CLOSURE DEVICE WITH PUSH-BUTTON FOR RELEASING
Closure device includes a closure cap, which can be screwed onto the threaded connection of a container, forming a fillable capsule that is open at the bottom, on which a seal directed downward is sealed. Upper side of the part of the closure cap which forms the capsule is designed to be deformable and can be pressed axially downward. A press element is molded on this cover of the closure cap at the bottom. By pressing the cover downward, the downward-directed seal of the capsule is broken open by the press element. Seal is made from a laminate comprising a carrier material with a thickness of at least 0.5 mm. Subsequently, a barrier film is sprayed or laminated on the carrier material. The crimping forms a circumferential edge, by means of which the seal can be sealed to the capsule edge, on the inner side of the carrier material, with respect to the capsule, and resting on same. The carrier material has pre-notches in the form of cuts, which approximately cut through the carrier material yet leave the attached films intact.
Beverage System Including A Removable Piercer
Apparatuses related to a beverage system. The system includes a piercing apparatus that includes an inner ring composed of a rigid material and an outer ring composed of a flexible material that encompasses the inner ring. The outer ring has an upper portion disposed above the inner ring that has a greater range of motion than the outer ring that encompasses the inner ring. The piercing apparatus further includes a piercer composed of a rigid material that is connected to the inner ring by a plurality of arms that radially extend from the piercer to the inner ring. The plurality of arms define a plurality of openings between the arms. The outer ring includes a protrusion that circumferentially protrudes outward from an outer surface of the outer ring.
