Systems and methods of automated film removal
A system and method for separating a layer from a layer assembly when the layer assembly includes a backing layer and a material layer. The system includes an automated machine having a controller and an end effector. A separating tool is attached to the end effector of the automated machine. The separating tool includes a displacing member, with an outer face, configured to establish a void between the backing layer and the material layer by displacing a portion of the backing layer. The separating layer also includes a securing member configured to establish a mechanical connection with a displaced portion of the backing layer.
SHEET TAKEOUT AND SEPARATION DEVICE AND SHEET PROCESSING APPARATUS
A sheet takeout and separation device of an embodiment has a takeout section, a sending section, a separation portion. The takeout section takes out a sheet. The sending section sends out the sheet taken out by the takeout section. The separation portion is provided so as to come in contact with the sheets taken out in an overlapping state by the takeout section, and separates the sheets one by one. In addition, the separation portion has a separation portion main body and a cover. The separation portion main body elastically deforms in accordance with a thickness of the sheet. The cover is provided on the separation portion main body so as to come in contact with the sheet. And, on a surface of the cover, a surface roughening treatment for enhancing a friction coefficient of the relevant surface is performed.

Sheet feeding device, image forming apparatus incorporating the sheet feeding device, and image forming system incorporating the sheet feeding device
A sheet feeding device, which is included in an image forming apparatus and an image forming system, includes a sheet loader, an air drawing body, an attracting and conveying device, an air duct and a blocking device. The sheet loader is a device on which a bundle of sheets is loaded. The air drawing body is configured to generate suction air. The attracting and conveying device is configured to attract a sheet on top of the bundle of sheets by the suction air and convey the sheet. The air duct is configured to intake the suction air drawn by the air drawing body, to the attracting and conveying device. The blocking device is configured to block the suction air in the air duct.

Workpiece conveying apparatus
A guide member (14) has an upper surface assisting conveyance of workpieces (44) mounted on a table (12) and is arranged downstream of the table (12) in a workpiece conveyance direction. A belt drive mechanism (16) has pulleys (26a to 26d, 28a to 28b), and endless belts (32a to 32d) wound around these pulleys, and is arranged above the table (12) and the guide member (14) so as to stride over the table (12) and the guide member (14). A first opening portion is formed on a bottom portion of the belt drive mechanism (16) to generate an upward suction force. A second opening portion is formed on the upper surface of the guide member (14) to generate a downward suction force. A magnitude of the suction force generated in the first opening portion exceeds a magnitude of the suction force generated in the second opening portion.
