LIMIT SWITCH SYSTEM
The present disclosure relates generally to a limit switch system for an elevator. The limit switch system includes a limit device configured to determine a position of the elevator car at a location of the hoistway upon selection of an inspection state.
Detecting elevator mechanics in elevator systems
Embodiments include a method and system for detecting mechanics in an elevator system. The system includes a controller configured to communicate with one or more anchors, and a tag configured to transmit a signal, wherein the signal includes an identifier and location information. The system also includes one or more anchors, wherein the one or more anchors are configured to detect the signal from the tag, wherein the controller is configured to execute a safety action response to detecting the signal from the tag.
Elevator with a safety arrangement and method for creating a safe working space in the upper part of the elevator shaft
The invention relates to methods and arrangements for creating a safe working space in the upper part of an elevator shaft. A position of an elevator car in the elevator shaft in relation to a plurality of safety levels in the elevator shaft may be monitored, where each safety level is associated with a separate clearance of the elevator car from a ceiling of the elevator shaft. The elevator may be controlled to create a safety space zone at the upper part of the elevator shaft. The controlling may include progressively activating separate braking systems in response to the elevator car progressively moving upwards through separate triggering limits of separate clearances, to progressively strengthen an arresting of upwards movement of the elevator car through the elevator shaft.
ELEVATOR SAFETY MONITORING DEVICE
An elevator safety monitoring device is provided that can secure safety of a maintenance person who rides on a riding portion on a car. An elevator safety monitoring device includes an approach judgment unit which judges whether a counterweight of an elevator system approaches a car when a maintenance person is riding on a riding portion on the car of the elevator system and a safety securing unit which performs safety control for the elevator system so as to secure safety of the maintenance person when the approach judgment unit judges that the counterweight approaches the car.
ELEVATOR SHAFT ELEMENT, ELEVATOR ARRANGEMENT AND METHOD
An elevator shaft element, an elevator arrangement and a method. The elevator shaft element comprises a frame module arranged for receiving an elevator car therein. The frame module is constructed from a transport and/or storage unit, comprising side walls, a bottom wall and a roof wall. The unit is arranged to be positioned vertically such that said side walls, bottom wall and upper wall of the unit define an inner space of the elevator shaft. Elevator car guides for guiding movement of the elevator car in the elevator shaft element are attached to said bottom wall and/or roof wall.
Elevator buffering device and elevator system
An elevator buffering device and an elevator system. The elevator buffering device includes a multi-stage buffer including: a body bracket; and a plurality of buffering elements mounted on the body bracket; wherein each of the buffering elements is at different heights when they are driven to operating positions in a vertical direction; a drive mechanism including: a power source for powering the drive mechanism; and a telescopic push rod pivotally connected to the body bracket; and a control element for controlling a telescopic length of the telescopic push rod of the drive mechanism so that one of the plurality of buffering elements on the body bracket is driven to the operating position.
Compensation guide, counterweight screen, elevator and method
A compensation guide, counterweight screen, traction elevator and method for guiding a compensation element are disclosed. The compensation guide includes a horizontally directed guide opening through which the compensation guide passes. The guide is mounted vertically movably to the counterweight screen.
Mechanism for improving safety for an elevator system
A safety control device applicable to an elevator system including an elevator car driven in an elevator shaft by means of a drive device, said safety control device comprising at least one sensor configured to detect, in the elevator shaft, a presence of an object in at least one specified area of the elevator shaft, and a controller configured to receive and process a signal of the at least one sensor indicating a detection result, and to conduct, when the detection result indicates the presence of an object in the at least one specified area of the elevator shaft, a safety procedure in which a switch from a normal drive control of the drive unit to a safety drive control is executed in which a target value set for the speed of the elevator car is decreased.
SAFETY LOCKOUT ON PATHS TO REGIONS OF HEIGHTENED RISK
A safety device for a path that is traversed to enter a region in which danger to an individual is heightened due to operation of a machine includes at least one sensor installed along the path so as to detect the individual thereat, which compels the sensor to generate a signal. A lockout mechanism is deployed that compels the machine into a non-operational state in response to receiving the signal from the sensor. The lockout mechanism ensures the machine remains in the non-operational state when the signal from the sensor is removed therefrom. A reset circuit is deployed that, in response to activation thereof, compels the lockout mechanism to allow the machine into the operational state from the non-operational state.
MULTI-CAR ELEVATOR SYSTEM
Provided is a multi-car elevator system including: a plurality of cars to be raised and lowered in the same hoistway; and an inspection work controller. The inspection work controller is operated by a worker so as to move an operation target car which is one of the plurality of cars. Further, the operation target car is allowed to be selected from two or more of the cars in a work area in which the worker is present.
