Stair lift
10981753 · 2021-04-20 ·

A stair lift eliminates a hindrance to the normal use of a staircase. The stair lift comprises two rails disposed along the staircase in parallel to the width of the staircase, a self-propelled gantry-shape carriage having a gantry-shaped structure, traveling on the rails with a restriction to prevent a derailment, and a lift step (1) disposed between left and right leg structures of the gantry-shape carriage and supported by a lifting mechanism provided in the leg structure. When the gantry-shape carriage stands by at a lower floor or a upper floor of the staircase, the lift step (1) lands on the floor adjacent to the staircase or a step of the staircase, and when the gantry-shape carriage travels on the rails, the lift step is held at a position preventing an interference with steps of the staircase. A user gets on the lift step (1) while standing.

A governor assembly for an elevator system. The governor assembly includes: a sheave configured to rotate about a central axis (X-X) thereof at a speed related to the speed of movement of an elevator car; a plurality of masses mounted to the sheave for rotation therewith about the central axis (X-X) and configured to move from a first radial position to a second radial position, radially outward of the first radial position, when a speed of rotation of the sheave meets or exceeds a set speed; a sensor configured to detect that the plurality of masses have reached the second radial position; and a brake moveable from a non-braking position in which the sheave is free to rotate to a braking position in which the brake contacts the sheave so as to slow or stop rotation of the sheave.

Elevator installation with a speed limiter

A speed limiter for an elevator installation includes a stand, a wheel rotatably mounted on the stand and a non-circularly extending guide surface rotatable with the wheel. A pendulum, which is pivotable relative to the stand, with a pendulum wheel bearing against the guide surface is provided. In addition, a restraining device is provided, which loads the pendulum wheel at least indirectly with a restraining force against the guide surface. A switching vane connected with the pendulum comes into engagement with a blocking dog, which dog is connected at least indirectly with the wheel, when the pendulum is pivoted out to a certain extent in which the pendulum wheel lifts off the guide surface. In addition, an actuating device that triggers the engagement between the switching vane and the blocking dog is provided.
