Particle mixture

The present invention relates to a particle mixture comprising particles of glass frit and particles of a crystalline oxide material, wherein the glass frit comprises silicon oxide (SiO.sub.2), zinc oxide (ZnO) and sulfur (S) and wherein the D90 particle size of the particle mixture is less than 5 microns. The particle mixture may be used to apply an enamel to a substrate. The present invention further relates to the use of the particle mixture to form an enamel on a substrate, to a glass sheet and to an automotive window pane.

Particle mixture

The present invention relates to a particle mixture comprising particles of glass frit and particles of a crystalline oxide material, wherein the glass frit comprises silicon oxide (SiO.sub.2), zinc oxide (ZnO) and sulfur (S) and wherein the D90 particle size of the particle mixture is less than 5 microns. The particle mixture may be used to apply an enamel to a substrate. The present invention further relates to the use of the particle mixture to form an enamel on a substrate, to a glass sheet and to an automotive window pane.

A composition for enamel may include 20 to 45 wt % of SiO.sub.2; 1 to 15 wt % of B.sub.2O.sub.3, 10 to 20 wt % of one or more of Na.sub.2O, K.sub.2O, and Li.sub.2O, 1 to 5 wt % of NaF, 1 to 10 wt % of ZnO, 5 to 15 wt % of TiO.sub.2, 3 to 7 wt % of MoO.sub.3; 5 to 15 wt % of Bi.sub.2O.sub.3, 1 to 5 wt % of CeO.sub.2, and 1 to 10 wt % of one or more of MnO.sub.2, Fe.sub.2O.sub.3, and Co.sub.3O.sub.4. The composition may be used to coat a cooking appliance for easy removal of contaminants at room temperature.

FINING PACKAGES FOR GLASS COMPOSITIONS

A fining package for a glass composition may include cerium dioxide (CeO.sub.2) and tin oxide (SnO.sub.2). CeO.sub.2 may be present in an amount of 0.08 to 0.5 wt % of the glass composition, and SnO.sub.2 may be present in an amount of 0.02 to 0.23 wt % of the glass composition. The glass composition may be used to form glass tubing. The glass tubing may be used to form a pharmaceutical packaging. For example, the pharmaceutical packaging may comprise an ampoule. The fining package may further include chloride (Cl) in an amount of 0 to 0.03 wt % of the glass composition. In some instances, the fining package may be Cl-free. In some instances, the fining package may be F-free. The glass composition may comprise a borosilicate glass composition. The glass composition may comprise an aluminosilicate glass composition.

An environment-friendly glass material, including components like SiO.sub.2, ZnO, alkali metal oxide and S, but does not contain Cd, wherein when the thickness of the environment-friendly glass material is 3 mm, the cutoff wavelength is above 550 nm, the transmittance at 800-850 nm is above 75%, the transmittance at 850-900 nm is above 80%, the transmittance at 900-1000 nm is above 83%, and the transmittance at 1000-2000 nm is above 85%. Through rational component design, the glass material of the present invention realizes environmental protection, UV and visible light cutoff, and high near-infrared transmittance at the same time.

Decorative coating having increased IR reflection

A coated glass or glass ceramic substrate includes a substrate with a surface area and a coating on that surface area. The coating includes a glass matrix and IR-reflecting pigments. The IR-reflecting pigments have a TSR value of at least 20%, as determined according to ASTM G 173. The coating, at a wavelength of 1500 nm, exhibits a remission of at least 35%, as measured according to ISO 13468.
