Lightweight gypsum products having enhanced water resistance
The product is produced from a settable aqueous calcium sulphate dispersion which has a water to solids ratio of less than 0.4 to 1, and has distributed therethrough lightweight hollow bodies having water-impervious surfaces (such as expanded polystyrene beads). The dispersion contains a hydratable cement (such as calcium sulpho aluminate) which is capable of hydration in the presence of the calcium sulphate dispersion. The hydratable cement is such that it reacts with excess water in the dispersion thereby enhancing the water resistance of the resulting product.

CONSTRUCTION METHOD FOR PLAYGROUND SURFACING
The present invention relates to a construction method for playground surfacing. The method of the present invention comprises the steps of: a) preparing in situ a mixture comprising 29-70% by weight of cork granules and 30-71% by weight of a polymeric binder, at room temperature; b) pouring the mixture obtained in step a) on at least one surface area; c) compacting said mixture to a thickness in the range of 35-135 mm and to a density in the range of 100-300 kg/m.sup.3; and d) curing the compacted mixture from step c).

Method for producing a thermally insulating mortar
A method for producing a thermally insulating mortar includes introducing water, cement and a liquid surfactant containing a foam concentrate that forms a foam in a predetermined mixing ratio into a mixing device provided with a mixing impeller, and rotating the mixing impeller at a very high speed, wherein a homogeneous mixing between the water, the cement and the formed foam occurs.

Composition for metakaolin construction material, related method for manufacturing said composition, and use for producing construction elements
Disclosed is a construction material composition including a matrix predominantly containing an aluminum silicate compound, such as a metakaolin, and an alkaline activation solution. The composition is contains less than 10 wt. % cement or clinker and in that the metakaolin is a metakaolin obtained via flash calcination. The reaction between the components is carried out at a temperature less than 30 C. The method for manufacturing the construction material includes mixing the composition with various elements such as granulates, plant fibers, unfired clay, and expanding agents. It is particularly of use in producing floor, wall, or roof coating elements, prefabricated construction elements, or insulation, adhesive, or inorganic sealant modules.
