Curing agent and method for manufacturing the same

A curing agent and method for producing the same are provided, the method includes: esterification reaction: reacting a polyhydric alcohol with a polybasic acid anhydride to obtain an ester-based emulsifier (A); chain extension reaction: reacting an ester-based emulsifier (A) with a bifunctional epoxy resin to obtain a polymer intermediate (B); and reacting the polymer intermediate (B) with a polyamine compound to obtain a curing agent (C).

The liquid salt is a stable liquid at a temperature greater than 15° C. Curable epoxy-based compositions including the curing agent and articles formed by the curable epoxy-based compositions are also disclosed.

The vinyl ester component was photopolymerized using vat photopolymerization (VPP). Additionally, the preparation of bio-based photo curable thermosetting resins that have tailorable thermal and mechanical properties is provided. All monomers and polymers described herein are useful in a variety of applications, including additive manufacturing applications.
