Phosphorylated tri-block copolymers with antimicrobial properties
The disclosure provides products and methods of treating diseases and disorders involving microbial pathogens, such as intestinal microbial pathogens, e.g., Pseudomonas aeruginosa, by administering an effective amount of a phosphorylated polyethylene glycol compound of defined structural organization. Those diseases and disorders characterized by an epithelium attacked by a microbial pathogen are contemplated, including gastrointestinal infections and inflammation, e.g., treatment of intestinal or esophageal anastomosis or treatment or suppression of anastomotic leakage.
Polycondensate based water-reducer
The present invention relates to polycondensates containing at least a structural unit, which is an aromatic moiety bearing a polyether side chain, at least a structural unit, which is an aromatic moiety bearing at least one phosphoric acid monoester group, at least a structural unit, which is an aromatic moiety, bearing at least one hydroxy group and at least a methylene unit (—CH.sub.2—), which is attached to two aromatic structural units. The invention also concerns a process for the production of the polycondensates, their use for the dispersion of inorganic binders, for increasing the strength development of concrete and for improving the slump-retention of concrete. The invention relates also to building material mixtures comprising the polycondensates and inorganic binders.
Cycloaliphatic polyphosphite
A polymeric polyphosphite and copolymeric polyphosphite is described which contains a cycloaliphatic moiety, preferably cyclohexane dimethanol, in the polyphosphite backbone chain. Incorporation of the polymeric polyphosphite into synthetic polymers reduces the yellowness index of any polymer into which the polymeric polyphosphite additive has been added, as well as increased hydrolytic stability as well as increased resistance to migration in food packaging.
Phosphoric ester preparations with reduced hygroscopicity
The present invention relates to phosphoric ester preparations with reduced hygroscopicity, to use of these as flame retardants and hydraulic fluids, and to polyurethanes which comprise the phosphoric ester preparations of the invention.
Solvent-based ink composition
A solvent-based ink composition is provided that includes: an organic solvent; a surface-treated metal powder; and a polyoxyethylene alkyl ether phosphoric acid compound, the content of the polyoxyethylene alkyl ether phosphoric acid compound with respect to the total mass of an ink is 0.1 to 10.0 percent by mass, and the surface-treated metal powder contains aluminum or an aluminum alloy and is surface-treated by a surface treating agent of a fluorine-based compound.
POLYETHER POLYOL
The present invention relates to a process for providing a homogeneous polyether polyol composition comprising the following steps: Providing a crude polyether polyol mixture comprising polyether polyol and a Group IA or Group IIA metal ion; Neutralisation of said crude polyether polyol mixture by adding a strong acid to said mixture, resulting in a neutralised polyether polyol composition, which comprises said polyether polyol along with a salt of said Group IA or Group IIA metal ion and said strong acid; Providing said homogeneous polyether polyol composition. characterised in that said strong acid is a pentavalent organic phosphorus compound, and in that said salt is a phosphorus-containing compound based organic salt, which is soluble in said polyether polyol composition.
Phosphorylated Tri-Block Copolymers with Anti-Microbial Properties
The disclosure provides products and methods of treating diseases and disorders involving microbial pathogens, such as intestinal microbial pathogens, e.g., Pseudomonas aeruginosa, by administering an effective amount of a phosphorylated polyethylene glycol compound of defined structural organization. Those diseases and disorders characterized by an epithelium attacked by a microbial pathogen are contemplated, including gastrointestinal infections and inflammation, e.g., treatment of intestinal or esophageal anastomosis or treatment or suppression of anastomotic leakage.
PHOSPHATE-CONTAINING COPOLYMERS FOR VIRULENCE SUPPRESSION
Phosphate-containing copolymers, medical compositions containing the phosphate-containing copolymers, and methods of suppressing microbial virulence are provided. By suppressing virulence, administration and/or application of the medical compositions can be used to prevent, mitigate, or treat a microbial infection. The phosphate-containing copolymers are prepared by phosphorylating either a random copolymer or a random copolymeric block that contains monomeric units of propylene oxide and glycidol.
Polymer electrolyte and preparation method therefor
A polymer electrolyte including a poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) containing polymer; and a lithium salt, wherein a terminal of the poly(ethylene oxide) containing polymer is substituted with a sulfur compound functional group, a nitrogen compound functional group or a phosphorus compound functional group, and a method for preparing the same and a battery containing the same.
