Self-hardening organic synthetic resin mixture used for additive manufacturing, and application therefor
The present invention relates to organic polymer synthetic materials, and discloses a self-curing organic synthetic resin composition for additive manufacturing. The self-curing organic synthetic resin composition includes 30-75% by weight of a linear thermoplastic phenolic resin and 25-70% by weight of a phenol modified furan resin. The self-curing organic synthetic resin composition is prepared through three stages. The linear thermoplastic phenolic resin prepared in stage (1) and the phenol modified furan resin prepared in stage (2) are mixed in a certain weight ratio in stage (3) to obtain the self-curing organic synthetic resin composition for additive manufacturing, which has the advantages of high strength at normal temperature, excellent resistance to high temperature, high activity and excellent collapsibility. Thus, the self-curing organic synthetic resin composition provided in the invention is suitable for additive manufacturing, and particularly for 3D printing in mold casting.
POLYMERIC COMPOSITION, METHOD FOR PRODUCING A POLYMERIC COMPOSITION, SUBSTRATES COATED WITH A POLYMERIC COMPOSITION AND APPARATUS FOR COATING SUBSTRATES WITH A POLYMERIC COMPOSITION
A polymeric composition with fire resistant properties is provided. The polymeric composition comprises a continuous phase and a disperse phase distributed in the continuous phase. The continuous phase is prepared by first mixing at least furfuryl alcohol with at least one first phenol, and by second adding a catalyst. The disperse phase comprises particles that are at least in parts heat-expandable. Furthermore, a method for producing such a polymeric composition, a substrate coated with such a fire resistant polymeric composition and an apparatus for machine-coating substrates with such a polymeric composition are provided.
ALKOXYLATED PHENOL DERIVATIVES
Alkoxylates are described that are obtainable by (i) in a first step reacting a) one or more compounds selected from the group consisting of phenols that are substituted with one substituent, wherein the one substituent is in the ortho-, meta- or para-position to the OH group of the phenol and is selected from the group consisting of OH, R8, OR8, F, Cl, Br, I, CN, NO.sub.2 or COOR9, wherein R8 is a linear or branched alkyl group with 1 to 4 C-atoms and R9 is a linear or branched alkyl group comprising 1 to 22 C-atoms or a linear or branched mono- or polyunsaturated alkenyl group comprising 2 to 22 C-atoms with b) an aryl-substituted linear or branched C.sub.1-C.sub.3 alkyl alcohol or an aryl-substituted linear or branched C.sub.2- or C.sub.3-alkene, and (ii) in a second step alkoxylating the reaction product of the first step and (iii) in an optional third step reacting the reaction product of step (ii) with an alkylating agent providing a C.sub.1-C.sub.4 alkyl group, with a carboxymethylating agent, with a sulfating agent, with a phosphating agent or with a sulfosuccinating agent.
These alkoxylates may advantageously be used as anti-redeposition agents in laundry applications.

HMF oligomers
Carbon-linked 5-hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF) oligomers contain at least one first HMF unit and one second HMF unit. The first and second HMF units are linked by a carbon-carbon bond with involvement of an aromatically bound carbon atom at position 3 or 4 of the furan ring of the first HMF unit. The HMF oligomers may be used as reactive carbonyl compounds in the manufacture of thermally curable resins on the basis of phenolic compounds and/or aminoplastic forming agents as well as in the manufacture of wood composite products.
