The invention relates to a for recycling fabric into plastic granule for plastic manufacturing processes, the method comprising the steps of: a) Collecting fabric comprising fabric fibers b) Pulverizing the fabric into a powder of fabric particles c) Pelletizing the powder with a binder such that fabric pellets comprising the powder of fabrics are formed d) Extruding a mixture of the fabric pellets and a plastic compound into plastic granule.
POLYMER COMPOSITION AND PROCESS FOR COATING EXPANDED POLYSTYRENE WITH THE POLYMER COMPOSITION
A polymer composition for coating expanded polystyrene (EPS) is provided, the polymer composition includes a mixture of at least one of polyurea, polyurethane, silicon elastomer, and combination thereof in a predefined ratio. The polymer composition imparts desired properties such as high impact and abrasion resistance, elongation strength, and anti-static property along with flexural strength to the EPS. The present invention also provides the process for coating the polymer composition onto the EPS. The matrix coating process provides much stronger bonding due to overlap of coating of the polymer composition on the sides of the EPS and reduces the wastage of the polymer composition during the coating of the EPS. The present invention also provides the EPS coated with the polymer composition. The EPS coated with the polymer composition possesses the properties such as high impact resistance, abrasion resistance, elongation strength, flexural strength, and anti-static property.
Transparent rollable folded polysiloxane film and preparation and self-repairing method thereof
This invention provides a scrollable and foldable transparent polysiloxane film and its preparation and self-healing method. 2-Hydroxyethyl disulfide, diisocyanate and alkane chloride were mixed and reacted to get disulfide-containing diisocyanate. α,ω-Aminopropyl terminated polydimethylsiloxane, diisocyanate and alkane chloride were mixed and reacted get linear chain-extended polydimethylsiloxane. Linear chain-extended polydimethylsiloxane, multi-amino terminated hyperbranched polysiloxane, disulfide-containing diisocyanate and alkane chloride were mixed and poured into a mould. After drying, the scrollable and foldable transparent polysiloxane film was obtained. The polysiloxane film described in this invention are constructed by dynamic physical crosslinking induced by hydrogen bond and permanent chemical crosslinking generated by hyperbranched polysiloxane. Hence, the polysiloxane film achieves both high stiffness and toughness. The good self-healing behavior of the polysiloxane films is originated from the temperature controlled dissociation of hydrogen bonds and exchange reaction rate of disulfide bonds.
CONTAINER FOR PRESSURIZED GAS
Disclosed are articles useful as the body of a container for containing gas under pressure, and containers which comprise the articles to which are affixed valves to control the flow of gas out of the container, wherein the articles comprise a hollow container body, having an external surface and having an opening through which gas can enter or leave the interior of the hollow container body; optionally but preferably a layer of fiber-reinforced polymer around the exterior of the container body, and an external layer of elastomer around and sealed to the external surface of the layer of fiber-reinforced polymer if present or else to the cylinder body.
METHOD FOR COATING A PLANAR WORKPIECE
The invention relates to a method for coating a planar workpiece. In order to provide a planar workpiece, which is produced from a workpiece having lignocellulose fibers and a proportion of more than 50 wt % binding agent and optionally filler, with improved performance characteristics, a method is provided having the following steps: providing the planar workpiece, which has an upper face and a lower face and a lateral surface, applying a coating, applying a decoration, optionally structuring the coating, at least on a portion of an upper face, a lower face, or a lateral surface, in each case, and optionally curing the coating.
CARBON FIBER REINFORCED MOLDING COMPOSITION SUITABLE FOR ELECTROPHORETIC COATING
A cured article includes a cured thermoset resin matrix defining an article surface. Hollow glass microspheroids are dispersed in the cured thermoset resin matrix. A low profile additive package is dispersed in the cured thermoset resin matrix. A plurality of carbon fiber bundles are present and wet by the cured thermoset resin matrix. The matrix formed from a prepolymer and styrenic monomer. A free radical initiator is provided to cure the thermoset resin matrix and having limited decomposition products with a boiling point of between 160-210° C.; wherein the article emits less than 250 parts per million (ppm) of volatiles as measured after heating to 185° C. at a rate of 14° C./min and held for 1 minute.
High strength sheet molding composition formed with an interpenetrating polymer network
A polyurea additive is provided that strengthens a given base sheet molding composition (SMC) An isocyanate containing species and an amine containing species are introduced into an uncured polymeric resin of a sheet molding compound (SMC) under conditions suitable for the formation of a polyurea polymer network. Upon cure of the SMC base resin, an interpenetrating network is formed that is stronger than the base SMC absent the polyurea. As a result, an article is formed from the SMC that is stronger at the same dimensions than a conventional article or thinned to achieve the same properties to obtain a lightweight article compared to that formed from conventional SMC. The properties of the article are also attractive relative to aluminum for the formation of vehicle body and exterior panels.
