20230042294 · 2023-02-09 ·

A chemical composition comprising a mixture of a non-curing organic polymer base with a viscosity between 300 and 10,000 centipoises at 20 degrees C.° and a molecular weight of between 1,000 and 100,000. Into the base is mixed at least one of: metal particles (coated or uncoated), inert particles and non-metal corrosion inhibitors such that reaches a viscosity of between 9,000 and 10,000,000 centipoises. The result is a paste that is useful in applying to metal aircraft parts to help prevent corrosion, including galvanic corrosion.

A paint contains a zinc powder, a binding agent made of an organic resin, and an inorganic material that is water-soluble and exhibits alkalinity when being dissolved in water. The inorganic material can be, for example, one that provides a saturated aqueous solution having a pH of 12 or less. For example, the basic substance may be barium carbonate, barium hydrogen phosphate, beryllium carbonate, calcium carbonate, calcium hydrogen phosphate, calcium phosphate, lithium carbonate, lithium phosphate, magnesium carbonate, basic magnesium carbonate, magnesium hydroxide, magnesium oxide, or magnesium phosphate.

ANTICORROSIVE NON-SKID COATING COMPOSITION
20230212408 · 2023-07-06 ·

An anticorrosive non-skid coating composition is disclosed herein, including at least one curable resin, at least one curing agent, sacrificial metal particles, and at least one carbonaceous material.

INORGANIC COATING COMPOSITION CONTAINING FUNCTIONALISED GRAPHENE AS A REPLACEMENT FOR METALLIC PIGMENTS

A coating composition having an inorganic binder, metallic pigments, a filler, and functionalised graphene for at least partially replacing a proportion of the metallic pigments in the coating composition is disclosed.

ZINC PIGMENT

An oxidized zinc pigment has been developed that can be used in a waterborne coating. The zinc metal allows for improved stability in waterborne systems while retaining the level of activity required for an anticorrosive material. This pigment is oxidized enough to prevent corrosion and still be dispersed in the waterborne coating, while still allowing for cathodic and anodic corrosion protection in the coating once applied to a metal surface. This zinc pigment may also be used in a waterborne ink or coating system and also for coated metal articles.

MODIFIED GRAPHENE AND GRAPHENE NANOPLATELET FOR ANTI-CORROSION COATINGS
20230092502 · 2023-03-23 · ·

A graphene-based zinc containing coating is provided to prevent or slow down the corrosion of steel. The graphene-based materials are selected from a group of modified single-layer graphene, double-layer graphene, few layer graphene, graphene nanoplatelet, doped graphene, and a combination thereof. The modified graphene-based materials in zinc-containing paints or coatings act as a barrier to prevent or slow down the diffusion of corrosive species to the steel surface to be protected. For such a purpose, the graphene has a high aspect ratio and good structural integrity, especially a lack of defects on the basal plane of the graphene.

PROTECTIVE COATING LAYER, AND PREPARATION METHOD AND USE THEREOF
20230082072 · 2023-03-16 ·

Disclosed are a protective coating layer, and a preparation method and use thereof. The present application provides a protective coating layer, including: a rusty-surface liquid layer, a nano-zinc yellow epoxy primer layer, a nano-epoxy micaceous iron oxide (MIO) intermediate coating layer, and a nano-fluorocarbon top coating layer, where the rusty-surface liquid layer is applied on a metal substrate; the nano-zinc yellow epoxy primer layer is applied on a surface of the rusty-surface liquid layer; the nano-epoxy MIO intermediate coating layer is applied on a surface of the nano-zinc yellow epoxy primer layer; and the nano-fluorocarbon top coating layer is applied on a surface of the nano-epoxy MIO intermediate coating layer. The present application effectively solves the technical problem that the existing protective coating layer with nanoparticles exhibits poor adhesion to a substrate and cannot provide a protective effect for a long time.

Multi-Piece Rim Structure for Wheel

A multi-piece rim structure for a wheel includes a rim base 10, a bead seat ring 20 (ring member) and a lock ring 30. The bead seat ring 20 receives a load in a radial direction and an axial direction from a bead portion of a tire. An annular ridge 35 of the lock ring 30 can be received in an annular lock ring groove 15 of the rim base 10. A receiving groove 15a is formed in an inner surface of the lock ring groove 15 of the rim base 10. A sacrificial anticorrosion material 80 is embedded in the receiving groove 15a. The sacrificial anticorrosion material 80 includes metal such as zinc and aluminum that has a greater ionization tendency than iron that is a base material of the rim base 10 and the lock ring 30. Corrosion of the rim base 10 and the lock ring 30 can be suppressed by ionization of the sacrificial anticorrosion material 80.
