Short-term wash treatment of produce
A produce wash system, method, and short-term wash treatment are provided. For example, the produce wash system includes a produce line including a short-term wash device followed by a wash device, a short-term wash treatment that is applied by the short-term wash device to a product, wherein the short-term wash treatment is applied using a spray device that creates micrometer sized droplets, and wherein the short-term wash treatment remains on the product for a pretreatment time that lasts until the product reaches the wash device, and a wash treatment that is applied by the wash device to the product, wherein the wash treatment rinses the short-term wash treatment from the product defining the end of the pretreatment time. The pretreatment time is set at or below a damage threshold time beyond which the short-term wash treatment damages the product beyond a damage threshold.
Polyester Film Recovery Method, Recycled Polyester Product, Recovery Device, and Functional Layer Removal Agent
A polyester film recovery method includes: a functional layer removing step (A) of cleaning a laminated polyester film including a polyester film having on a surface thereof a functional layer, with a cleaning agent, so as to remove the functional layer; and a recovering step (B) of recovering the polyester film, from which the functional layer has been removed, and the cleaning agent is selected from the following (1) to (3): (1) a cleaning agent containing an alkalinizing agent (a) and a compound (b) having at least one hydroxy group, (2) a cleaning agent containing an alkalinizing agent (a) and a compatibilizing agent (c), and (3) a cleaning agent containing an alcohol compound having an acidity constant (pKa) of 8.0 or more and 20.0 or less. A polyester film recovery method that can peel a functional layer and can recover the base material film, a recovery apparatus, and a functional layer removal agent can be provided.
ADHESIVE REMOVER COMPOSITIONS
Disclosed herein are adhesive remover compositions, methods of making such compositions, and methods of using such compositions. In one aspect, an adhesive remover composition comprises cyclopentasiloxane, dimethicone, and a blend or mixture of dimethicone and dimethiconol.
COMPOSITION FOR CLEANING GASOLINE ENGINE FUEL DELIVERY SYSTEMS, AIR INTAKE SYSTEMS, AND COMBUSTION CHAMBERS
A cleaning composition, which is suitable for cleaning fuel delivery systems, air-intake systems, intake valves, and combustion chambers, includes at least 3 wt. % of a polyether component, at least 5 wt. % of a polar solvent, and at least 5 wt. % a non-polar solvent. The polyether component is selected from polyethers, polyetheramines, and mixtures thereof.
ENZYME FOR EASY-CLEANING OF STAINS
A liquid bioactive composition is provided that includes an enzyme with enzymatic activity toward a component of a biological stain. Also provided is a process for facilitating the removal of a biological stain is provided wherein the enzyme in the liquid bioactive coating material is capable of enzymatically degrading of one or more components of the biological stain to facilitate biological stain removal from a substrate.
Use of a Composition Consisting of Ammonia and an Alkanol for Avoiding Pattern Collapse When Treating Patterned Materials with Line-Space Dimensions of 50 NM or Below
Described herein is a method of using a composition including 0.1 to 3% by weight ammonia and a C.sub.1 to C.sub.4 alkanol. The method includes using the composition for anti-pattern collapse treatment of a substrate including patterned material layers having line-space dimensions with a line width of 50 nm or less, aspect ratios of greater than or equal to 4, or a combination thereof.
A DECONTAMINANT AQUEOUS SOLUTION FOR DECONTAMINATING DIISOCYANATE DRUM AND A METHOD OF USING IT
Disclosed herein is a decontaminant aqueous solution for decontaminating diisocyanate drum, including 20-97 wt % of at least one alcohol or derivative thereof, based on the total weight of decontaminant aqueous solution, and an alkaline source in an amount effective to provide the solution a pH of at least 8. Further disclosed herein is a method for decontaminating diisocyanate residues in an emptied drum with the decontaminant aqueous solution.
TREATMENT LIQUID AND SUBSTRATE WASHING METHOD
An object of the present invention is to provide a treatment liquid for a semiconductor device, which is excellent in removal performance for residues present on a substrate, and to provide a substrate washing method using the treatment liquid.
The treatment liquid of the present invention is a treatment liquid for a semiconductor device, which includes water, a basic compound, hexylene glycol, and a compound A that is at least one kind selected from the group consisting of isobutene, (E)-2-methyl-1,3-pentadiene, 4-methyl-1,3-pentadiene, 2,2,4-trimethyloxetane, 4-methyl-3-penten-2-ol, and 2,4,4,6-tetramethyl-1,3-dioxane.
Bioactive protein-polymer compositions for stain removal
Bioactive coatings that include a base and a protein associated with the base for actively promoting the removal of organic stains are provided. In aspects, bioactive coatings that are stabilized against inactivation by weathering are provided including a base associated with a chemically modified enzyme, and, optionally a first polyoxyethylene present in the base and independent of the enzyme. The coatings are optionally overlayered onto a substrate to form an active coating facilitating the removal of organic stains or organic material from food, insects, or the environment.
Short-term wash treatment of produce
A method of washing a food product with a short-term, intense treatment solution. One example method generally includes: applying, using a short-term wash device, a short-term wash treatment solution to the food product; and applying, using a wash device coupled to the short-term wash device, a wash treatment to the food product such that the wash treatment rinses the short-term wash treatment solution from the food product, wherein: the short-term wash treatment solution is applied to the food product for a shorter duration than the wash treatment is applied to the food product; the short-term wash treatment solution is chemically different from the wash treatment; and the short-term wash treatment solution comprises an acidulant and a polyol.
