The present invention discloses a tool holding device for shank type tools, comprising at least one tool holder, a base part and a top part, whereby at least the top part comprises uptake holes for the at least one tool holder characterized in that, the tool holding device can be used for more than one process step among transfer, cleaning, pretreatment, coating, posttreatment, and each of the at least one tool holders can optionally take up a sleeve holding the shank type tool in a distinct, preferably upright position and comprises one or more openings, which allow fluid and/or solid treatment agents to exit the tool holder and/or sleeve and the at least one tool holder and/or sleeve enables three-fold rotation of the shank type tool. Further a method using the inventive tool holding device is disclosed.
KILN FURNITURE KITS AND PARTS OF KITS FOR DEFORMATION AND BREAKAGE FREE HIGH TEMPERATURE TREATMENT OF PRODUCTS, AND USE THEREOF
The present invention relates to kiln furniture kits for supporting ceramic products, such as for example sanitary ware, during high temperature processes in a kiln. The invention further relates to rolling element holders as part of the kiln furniture kits according to the present invention for deformation and breakage free firing or drying of ceramic products.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR AUTOMATIC SPRAY QUENCHING
A spray quenching system including a quench box configured to receive a part for quenching. The system may include mechanical arms disposed within the quench box and thermocouples disposed on the mechanical arms that may be moved to contact the part surface. The system may include non-contact temperature sensors within the quench box that measure the temperature part surface, and spray nozzles within the quench box that spray the part with a quenching fluid. The system may include a controller in electronic communication with the mechanical arms, the spray nozzles, the thermocouples, and the non-contact temperature sensors, that is configured to initiate a quenching process, receive temperature data, analyze the temperature data to determine a temperature difference value, determine that the temperature difference value exceeds a threshold temperature difference value, and adjust the quenching process if the temperature difference value exceeds the threshold temperature difference value.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR HARDENING MOLD GRIDS USING CLAMP QUENCHING
A method and apparatus for treating a workpiece such as a mold grid includes moving the workpiece laterally along a conveyor assembly into a furnace for heating in a carbon-rich atmosphere to form a heated workpiece. The heated workpiece is then received from the furnace onto the conveyor assembly in an enclosed vestibule whereupon it is clamped under pressure between an overhead mechanical press and the conveyor assembly to form a clamped assembly. The clamped assembly, including a portion of the conveyor, is then lowered into a quenching bath via an elevator assembly until the heated workpiece is quenched, whereupon the clamped assembly is raised out of the bath and the clamping force released. This clamping during quenching acts to maintain the workpiece in a planar orientation while reducing warpage during the quenching process.
GAS QUENCHING CELL
The present description concerns a gas cooling cell, comprising: a chamber; at least one opening in the chamber, of access to a treatment space internal to the chamber; at least one door for closing the opening; and a system (4), internal to the chamber, comprising at least one wall (42) mobile between a first position where this wall forms a screen between the opening and the treatment space, and a second position where said wall clears the access to the treatment space from the opening.
SUPPORT FRAME FOR A METHOD FOR SINTERING A BODY, IN PARTICULAR FOR WATCHMAKING
A support frame for a sintering step of a method for producing a part, in particular for watchmaking, from a green body having an initial shape, the body shrinking from the initial shape to a final shape during the sintering step, the support frame having at least one face for supporting the body during the sintering step, wherein the geometry of the supporting face is in relief and configured to support the body from its initial shape into its final shape, so that it retains its shape and proportions in line with a shrinkage coefficient related to the sintering operation. The disclosure further relates to a sintering method using this support frame.
ADJUSTABLE SHIELD FOR LOCAL AUSTENITIZING
A shield covers a predetermined region of a plate workpiece during tempering of the plate workpiece in a furnace in which the shield and the workpiece are subjected to an austenitization temperature while the predetermined region of the plate is shielded by the shield against heat. The shield has at least one first shield part shaped to cover at least some of the predetermined region of the workpiece, at least one second shield part, and a fastener or the like securing the second part movably relative to or removable from the first part such that the first and second parts together achieve an optimum shape fully covering and shielding the predetermined region of the plate workpiece.
INTERMEDIATE HEATING STATION
A heating station (1) for heating a metal sheet blank (50) and a system comprising such a heating station (1), is herein disclosed. In particular, the heating station comprises lower or upper heating elements (11) arranged in a heating chamber (10) below a metal sheet blank (50) when in a heating position, and configured to provide radiation heating towards the metal sheet blank (50), and a lower mask (14) arranged to block radiation heating from reaching at least a first portion of the metal sheet blank (50), wherein the lower mask (14) comprises a plurality of support projections (14d) projecting from a main surface (14a) of the lower mask (14) towards the metal sheet blank (50) when in a heating position, which support projections (14d) are configured to support a metal sheet blank (50) during heating thereof.
VOLUME HEAT TREATMENT METHOD AND RELATED SYSTEM
A method for volume heat treating a part having an external surface delimiting its volume, the method comprising the following steps: a. providing a laser source; b. providing the part; c. providing support means for supporting the part; d. placing said part so that it is held in position by said support means; and e. irradiating with the laser source at least one segment of the external surface of the part with a laser exposure power and duration to obtain a temperature rise in essentially the entire volume of the part.
