PRINT HEAD FOR PRINTING NANOMATERIALS
A print head comprising nested chambers for in-situ reactant formation is disclosed. The print head comprises a first chamber nested within a second chamber. The first chamber comprises a first nozzle, the second chamber comprises a second nozzle. The first nozzle is substantially coaxial with the second nozzle. A susceptor to convert electromagnetic energy to heat is within the first chamber. The susceptor comprises one or more openings extending between the upper portion and the lower portion. The susceptor may be heated by induction heating or by optical heating to vaporize a precursor substance within the first chamber. The vapor may react with a reactive gas flowing through the first chamber or expand through a nozzle into a second chamber where the vapor may react with the reactive gas, forming nanoparticles. Patterned films may be written onto a two-dimensional or three-dimensional surfaces.
CONDUCTIVE INK COMPOSITIONS
A conductive structure is provided. The conductive ink composition includes a silver complex formed by mixing a silver carboxylate, at least one dissolving agent that dissolves the silver carboxylate, and a catalyst. The catalyst includes an amine that decarboxylates the silver carboxylate to make the conductive ink composition. The catalyst decarboxylates the silver carboxylate at a temperature of 100° C. or less. An ink composition comprising a metallic salt with a sterically bulky counter ion and a ligand is also provided. An ink composition for making a conductive structure, comprising a reducible metal complex formed by mixing: a reducing agent, wherein the reducing agent is dissolved in a dissolving agent; and at least one metal salt or metal complex comprising a Group 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, or 12 metal, wherein the reducing agent reduces the metal to forms the conductive structure is further provided.

Conductive ink compositions comprising palladium and methods for making the same
Disclosed herein are ink compositions for making a conductive palladium structure. For example, the ink composition can comprise a palladium salt and a complex of a complexing agent and a short chain carboxylic acid or salt thereof. In some embodiments, a second or third metal salt is included in the compositions. Also disclosed herein are methods for making and using such conductive ink compositions.
PLATING METHOD
The present invention provides a plating method capable of easily performing various decorative plating processes. The plating method includes a bulge forming process of forming a bulge on an object to be plated by ejecting ink drops of first UV-curable ink from an inkjet head such that the ejected ink drops land on the object, and a plating process of plating the object having the bulge formed thereon, after the bulge forming process. Also, in the bulge forming process, the bulge is formed such that a second surface of the bulge to be plated has surface roughness different from that of a first surface of the object to be plated.
