HYDROCARBON FUNCTIONALIZED POLYAMINES FOR CORROSION INHIBITION

Compositions and methods are provided for reducing, inhibiting, or preventing corrosion of a surface, the polyamine compounds corresponding to the structure of Formula 1 or 2, or a salt thereof:

Methods and compositions for inhibiting corrosion of metal surfaces in aggressive fluids, including fluids with high total dissolved solids content. The treatment composition can include a stannous corrosion inhibitor and optionally an additive that enhances the corrosion inhibition properties of the stannous component. The additive may include organic compounds having at least one heteroatom.

OLEA EUROPAEA SUBSP. CUSPIDATE WOOD TAR OIL COMPOSITION AS AN ANTICORROSIVE FOR METALS IN AQUEOUS MEDIA.

A composition and a method for inhibiting corrosion of a metal by contacting a metal surface with the composition. The composition includes a wood tar oil, from an Olea europaea subsp. Cuspidate plant, and an alcohol solvent. The wood tar oil is present at 5%-80% v/v relative to the total volume of the composition, and the alcohol solvent is present at 10%-95% v/v relative to the total volume of the composition. The composition has a coating resistance of greater than 2.5 ohms and inhibits corrosion of a metal.

Compositions and methods are provided for reducing, inhibiting, or preventing corrosion of a surface, the method comprising contacting an anticorrosion compound of Formula 1 with the surface, the anticorrosion compound of Formula 1 having a structure corresponding to:

According to embodiments disclosed herein, a corrosion-resistant substrate may comprise a substrate comprising a first surface and a corrosion-resistant film positioned on at least a portion of the first surface of the substrate. A method of producing a corrosion-resistant substrate may comprise contacting at least a portion of a first surface of a substrate with a corrosion inhibitor solution and drying the corrosion inhibitor solution to produce the corrosion-resistant film on the substrate, wherein at least a portion of the solvent may be expelled from the corrosion inhibitor solution during the drying to form the corrosion-resistant film, such that the corrosion-resistant film is solid. The corrosion inhibitor solution and the corrosion-resistant film may comprise a pyridinium hydroxyl alkyl ether compound.
