A method for washing a car/vehicle/transportation device and a method for washing a braking device of a car/vehicle/transportation device are disclosed. The methods include spraying a detergent composition for washing automobiles, two-wheeled vehicles, bicycles, construction equipment, farm equipment, aircraft, railroad cars, ships, and/or various other types of car/vehicle/transportation devices, thereby washing the car/vehicle/transportation device or the braking device, wherein the detergent composition includes (Z)-1-chloro-3,3,3-trifluoropropene and HFE-type nonflammable fluorinated-type solvent, mass % ratio thereof ((Z)-1-chloro-3,3,3-trifluoropropene/HFE-type nonflammable fluorinated-type solvent) being within a range that is 30/70 to 99/1.

Connector for non-cylindrical composite tubing
A connector may couple to a non-cylindrical composite tubing having at least two lateral sides disposed in parallel and an open end. The connector may comprise first and second bonding plates adhered to an inner surface of the two lateral sides via an epoxy adhesive uniformly distributed. The first and second bonding plates may each have a distal lateral face defining a plurality of first threaded holes accessible at the open end of the composite tubing. The connector may also comprise an end plate having a plurality of first and second slotted holes disposed substantially in parallel and each aligned with an associating one of the first threaded holes. The connector may also comprise end plate fasteners loosely inserted through the first and second slotted holes and engaged with the first threaded holes. The end plate may also comprise one or more attachment points.
Method of treating pipeline
A method of treating a pipeline is performed by selecting a colloidal particle dispersion having inorganic nanoparticles with an average particle size of from 500 nm or less that exhibit properties of Brownian motion that facilitate penetration of solid deposits on interior surfaces of a pipeline. A treatment composition comprising the colloidal particle dispersion is introduced into an interior of a pipeline by at least one of (A) introducing a batch amount of the treatment composition in a selected volume into the interior of the pipeline, and (B) continuously introducing the treatment composition at a selected rate into the interior of the interior of the pipeline. The composition is allowed to act upon the surfaces and materials adhering to the surfaces of the interior of the pipeline.
SOLVENT COMPOSITION, CLEANING METHOD, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING ARTICLE PROVIDED WITH COATING FILM
The present invention provides a solvent composition that can inhibit corrosion of a metal, a cleaning method using the solvent composition, and a method for producing an article provided with a coating film. The solvent composition of the present invention comprises 1-chloro-2,3,3-trifluoropropene and a specified second component, and is characterized in that the proportion of the total amount of the content of the second component to the sum of the content of 1-chloro-2,3,3-trifluoropropene and the total amount of the content of the second component is from 0.0001 to 1.0 mass %.

The present application includes methods, apparatuses, and systems for cleaning an aluminum wheel. In particular instances, a method of treating an exterior surface of an aluminum vehicle wheel comprising: blasting the exterior surface a first occurrence for a first duration at a first velocity using blasting media; blasting the exterior surface a second occurrence for a second duration at a second velocity using blasting media after blasting the exterior surface for a first duration, the second velocity being substantially lower than the first velocity; and, arranging the vehicle wheel in contact with vibratory finishing media and vibrating the vehicle wheel with the vibratory finishing media for a duration after blasting the exterior surface in each of the first and second occurrences.
Azeotropic compositions comprising dimethyl carbonate and perfluoroalkene ethers
The present application provides azeotrope or azeotrope-like compositions comprising dimethyl carbonate and a perfluoroheptene ether or a perfluoropentene ether, wherein the perfluoroheptene ether or perfluoropentene ether is present in the composition in an amount effective to form an azeotrope composition or azeotrope-like composition with the dimethyl carbonate. Methods of using the composition provided herein in cleaning and carrier fluid applications are also provided.
Ternary compositions of methyl perfluoroheptene ethers and trans-1,2-dichloroethylene, and uses thereof
Disclosed are compositions comprising 90 to 99 weight percent trans-1,2-dichloroethylene, from 0.1 to 8 weight percent methylperfluoroheptene ethers and from 0.5 to 2.0 weight percent of a fluorocarbon selected from the group consisting of Z-1,1,1,4,4,4-hexafluoro-2-butene, 1,3,4,4,4-pentafluoro-3-trifluoromethy-1-butene, 1,1,1,4,4,5,5,5-octafluoro-2-pentene, perfluorobutyl methyl ether, perflurobutyl ethyl ether, perfluoroisopropylmethyl ether, perfluoroethyl isopropyl ketone, heptafluorocyclopentane, and E-1,1,1-trifluoro-3-chloro-2-propene, wherein the composition is non-flamable. The disclosure further provides a method for removing residue from a surface of an article comprising: (a) contacting the article with a composition comprising a composition of MPHE, trans-1,2-dichloroethylene and a fluorocarbon selected from the group consisting of Z-1,1,1,4,4,4-hexafluoro-2-butene, 1,3,4,4,4-pentafluoro-3-trifluoromethy-1-butene, 1,1,1,4,4,5,5,5-octafluoro-2-pentene, perfluorobutyl methyl ether, perflurobutyl ethyl ether, perfluoroisopropylmethyl ether, perfluoroethyl isopropyl ketone, heptafluorocyclopentane, and E-1,1,1-trifluoro-3-chloro-2-propene; and (b) recovering the surface from the composition.

A composition including a compound having structural formula (I): R.sub.f is a linear or branched perfluoroalkyl group having 1-3 atoms; n is 0-2; x is 1-3; and R.sub.f′ and R.sub.f″ are (i) independently, a linear or branched perfluoroalkyl group having 1-8 carbon atoms; or (ii) are bonded together to form a ring structure having 4-8 carbon atoms.
